"The view is incredible. There is a lot of thoughtful effort put into the space to help groups of all sizes enjoy themselves. Some examples - lots of seating (inside and out), items for dogs, lots of games for differing ages and number of players, extra towels, coffee makers in each room, fully stocked kitchen, kayaks with life jackets, and welcome snacks. The host is very responsive but doesn’t bother you, and goes out of the way to be welcoming. "

"Our family and friends gathered for our son’s wedding. It was the perfect property for all of us to stay and enjoy one another. Both the house and the carriage house were lovely and comfortable. It had all the amenities and was quiet. Just a wonderful weekend of celebration and fellowship with our loved ones."

"What a great house! Lots of living space for a good sized group. We had family and friends, 16 of us to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Baylor. The only think to know is that it is 30 minutes away from Waco."

"Our stay was nothing short of perfect! Surrounded by nature, it was the ideal spot to unwind and recharge. Mornings were spent reading on the porch, enjoying the peaceful sounds of the outdoors. In the evenings, we grilled steaks, made s’mores by the fire, and relaxed in the hot tub under the stars. The cabin was spotless and well-maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy getaway, this is the place!"

"My family and I recently stayed here to attend and celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Baylor, as it is only about 25 minutes away from the school. The property was perfect! The rooms were spacious, with very comfortable. The layout of the house is perfect for entertaining too (the rooms are away from the living area). The outdoor part of the house was the ideal are for a celebratory gathering. The kitchen (as well as the rest of the house) was very well stocked. Everything we needed was at...

"Tonkawa is an amazing place to stay. Great architecture. Great furnishings. Extremely peaceful. We felt relaxed as soon as we walked in. Very well thought out designs and living spaces. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Love it. Very special place."

"Even when the stay is sad due to a loss. Joel and I were so loved and cared for by Gayle. This is our second stay at Mama’s house and we love it here. Dog friendly and you will be part of a working ranch. Seeing each cow and the beautiful birds gives such an interesting and relaxing ambiance! "

The house was beautiful and spacious, the views from the porch were stunning with plenty of seating in the rooms and beds were nice and comfortable. "My husband and I stayed for a quick work trip. The home is older, but well cared for. There were fans and a solid AC - which fended off the even-hot-for-TX May temps. There were even ice cubes and chilled/filtered water in the fridge when we arrived. A coffee-shop and grocery store are very close by. And it worked great for us as our project destination was only minutes away."
