"Great base for Loughborough Uni, lovely village for a walk. The room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was good but started a bit late on the weekend at 9am. We also ate in the pub and both meals and service was excellent. Easy parking."

"The room wasn’t properly cleaned , dust on the bedside cabinets , bathroom floor not clean , couldn’t get the tv to work and no instructions, the water coming out of the taps was brown . There were no other guests in the whole hotel yet we couldn’t book a standard room . Very disappointed this time . This was a return visit as we thought it was a lovely place last time . I don’t think we would return ."

"This is never a 4 star hotel! I was really disappointed, Expedia said breakfast was included but they don’t even serve breakfast. Waited 20 minutes in the morning to check out and no one was in reception. Another lady also checked out and said her room smelled of smoke and didn’t feel safe in the hotel. The lady when checking in was really nice and accommodating but the hotel itself was really poor! I think it’s more of a 2 star hotel and I won’t stay there again. "

We had to phone the hotel via the general number online and ask to be put through to the hotel chain. Extremely poor cleanliness, there were stains all over the bedsheets, chairs and a strong odour of urine in the room, carpets and bathroom. "Bed and bedding comfy with 2 choices of pillows. Good hot water and pressure. Only draw back was the reverse cycle was not controllable due to not having a down button. Temp stays on 25 or you could put it up not down. Had a standing fan fan which we had on all night and heating off. Too cold for windows open. "
