  • Inside the medieval walls of Siena, in the most ancient part of the city, across the street from the Pinacoteca National museum in the Buonsignori Palace, you will find your home away from home at Buonsignori Apartment.

    Your opportunity to enjoy living like a native as you experience life in a small Tuscan city.
    Ideal also for taking a language course.
    We are surrounded with historical monuments amidst the constant daily activities of the locals.
    You'll only have to walk a few steps for your daily bread and wine.
    Everything you might want – grocery store, restaurants, bars, artisan shops – is within easy walking distance in our typical characteristic neighborhood. Piazza del Campo, the most famous square of Siena and site of the biannual Palio horse race is a mere five-minute walk while the Duomo is two-minutes away.

    Siena, in the heart of Tuscany is the best place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding areas. There are local busses to all the characteristic places nearby, such as San Gimignano, Montalcino, Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia and Asciano, just to name a few!

    Our property was built in the 14th century and Buonsignori Apartment is on the second floor.. (Owners live on the third and fourth floors.) The small entrance way leads to the open-plan living/dining room. There is a modern kitchen with stove top cooking, oven, and all the necessary cutlery. The windows face the Via San Pietro and the Pinacoteca National museum from which you can watch the Palio parade in the comfort of your living room.
    The ceiling is typical historic wooden beams.

    The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an antique carved wooden closet. Large, modern bathroom is accessible from the bedroom. An outside courtyard is off this bedroom for relaxing in the quiet heart of Siena.

    Guided walking tours of Siena and nearby Florence can be arranged with a licensed, city guide at request.

You couldn't ask for a better location for this apartment, right in the heart of Siena with the Duomo a block away. Spacious, airy, clean and charming with a comfy bed & great little kitchen and bathroom. Nicholas & Kathleen were fantastic hosts, even taking the time to meet with us and show us the back garden. We feel very lucky we were able to experience Siena from this great spot!

We spent the month of March 2026 at the lovely Casa Buonsignori apartment. The apartment is spacious, clean, well equipped and quiet at night. The location is excellent. There are several grocery shops and bakeries just around the corner, it's a 5-minute walk to Siena's Duomo and 10 minutes to Piazza del Campo, the most beautiful public space in the world! The apartment is hosted by a family, and we really appreciated the personal touch this brought to our stay.

We had such a great time in Siena and this apartment was PERFECT for our stay! Super clean, adorably decorated, and in THE perfect location! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The guest book pointed out some great activities to do and some of the best restaurants! We would definitely stay here again if back in Siena! Also the hosts were amazing! So easy to reach for questions and helpful in trying to find a local artist. Stay here if you're in Siena!

Kathleen is a wonderful attentive host and the apartment is very pleasant and comfortable. The location is unbeatable since you are a short walk from all the sights and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Perfect Stay

Perfect stay in the heart of Siena. Great apartment with everything we needed. Bed is A comfortable and we felt right at home. Food was just steps away from the front door and was easy to navigate. Hosts were extremely communicative and checked in on us as well. Highly recommend.

Wonderful apartment; great location.

The apartment is much larger than it appears in the photos. The host was very responsive, check-in was very smooth. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. Good restaurants, bars, and shopping nearby.

Charming apartment in the center medical part of Siena. Just around to block from the big square. Great coffee shop right downstairs. The bed ice very comfortable. The hosts were terrific. This is THE place to stay in Siena!
