"Lovely welcome and they went out of their way to help with directions, restaurant recommendations, ordering a taxi and making sure it arrives for us. Can’t say enough good things about this place. The views were also spectacular!!!!!!! Breakfast and coffee made specifically for us wow. Thank you!"

"The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were clean and well equipped. The walk to the main piazza is about 15-20 mins but it’s safe to walk. Only thing is the walls are “thin”. You hear everything next door and that was an issue for us."

"The location is excellent, across a very small piazza from the steps of the Baptistery; essentially, it's behind the Duomo. Everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance. From the window of our room (#4) we could see Basilica San Domenico in the distance. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well (important as temperatures were in the 80s). My only complaint--a small one--is that the shower in our room was an odd glass...

"Stellar room for that price range in a great location. The drawback ? The walls are not noise isolated at all, which means you'll hear all that's going on in the neighboring rooms or in the street below, which are very noisy all night long. I'd recommend this place if you have excellent earplugs, otherwise don't expect to be able to sleep much. "

"This hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to Il Campo but is also in a quiet area with less touristy restaurants. Our room was quiet and very clean. Check in was with a room code. Very easy. It is about a 30-35 minute walk from train station to hotel which can be a bit tiring with some mild inclines. "

"Wonderful stay in a wonderful place. The views from the terrace (where breakfast is served weather permitting) and the executive rooms on to the cathedral are spectacular. All the staff is super friendly and keen to help. The hotel or relais is beautifully decorated and everything is spotlessly clean. That is also true for the rooms which all have antique furniture. "The rooms were simple and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely patio at the entrance and a stunning view of the Duomo and the city. Excellent value for your money."

"Our apartment was very large with a beautiful old private courtyard. It was perfectly quiet and almost 100% dark at night - the best place for sleeping I think I've ever been in. We had some problem with the reading lamp and the hosts, who are nearby, fixed it immediately. Outstanding! The place was nicely decorated, easy to enter - all in all, far better and less expensive than a 4-star hotel."
