"Technicolor retreat was a great relaxing getaway. The home is lovely and the location on the river was so relaxing after a day in the Dunes or Chicago. It felt very secluded and private. We can’t wait to go back. We were able to take our golden retriever who loves all things woods and water. Wish we could have stayed longer! "

"The house is nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals. The neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous with many beautiful homes around the lake. We will definitely stay here again!!"

"This was a great place on the lake!! We stayed for World Series with another family. The beds were super comfortable, which was huge for me:)The kids enjoyed air hockey, basketball, and the lake. So much for the kids to do, they were never bored.. that’s for sure!! I do wish the kitchen had more pans, silverware, etc but overall we had a wonderful time and made some great memories!!"

"We chose this property because of it's location between Indianapolis and Chicago, as half our group was coming from each city. The house and outdoor area met every expectation for our weekend together. Michel was incredibly responsive and asked very little of us as guests. We rarely left the house, but when we did, downtown DeMotte had a great diner (Steve's Grill) and really nice grocery store. Very likely our group will try to make this our annual meet up location."

"My family joined me for a wonderful trip to Brightstone. We fell in love. Our hosts were phenomenal and so helpful. Any questions we had were answered quickly and they are very helpful. The house contained everything we needed. The photos of the listing are accurate but photos do not do justice to the setting. The beautiful lake is amazing. The hiking trails were fun for the grandkids and we saw wild turkeys and other critters. We are planning a return trip next summer and cannot wait...

"The place was nice, clean inside and the kitchen amazing. Would definitely rent it again whenever you plan to go there again. "

"The area was super quiet and pitch black at night. The tent was cute and perfect size. We however did not end up staying. It was super smokey, when I opened the stove to add wood even more smoke poured from it. Being from eastern Kentucky those are what we had and they shouldn't do that, so I'm thinking the pipe was getting clogged. If not for that it would have been super cozy."

"Check in and check out process super easy. Cathy was once nice and responsive to any questions we had. We loved the house. Decor is adorable. It’s remote as mentioned in the listing. Little to no cell phone service. WiFi was ok. We didn’t mind at all. It was enough for us to communicate with our families at home if needed. Backyard is so cute. "This one-bedroom attic apartment is cute and efficient. It was sufficient for my needs. Due to the age of the original home that houses four (4) residential units, it is a little loud in its mechanics, structure, and location. The people were friendly and helpful. It is closely located to the Crown Point Square which offers multiple shopping and gastro-pub options within the Historic Downtown area. The property manager was pleasant enough and prompt in his communications."
