"We were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating this home was for a larger group. There were so many thoughtful touches—from extra linens and air mattresses to easy-to-use appliances and lots of seating. The living area was great for hanging out, and the garage space gave us room to spread out. Everything was clean and organized when we arrived, and the host was quick to answer questions. Definitely one of the better group accommodations we've booked."

"I injured my knee the evening before I was to drive up to King Salmon, so was unable to enjoy Shell Cottage, and too late for any refund! I had stayed previously however, and it was lovely; hence my desire to return."

"This house was perfect for my friend and I. We like a lot of personal space and comfort. The location is great! Centrally located from Old Town, the zoo and easy to get to Hwy 101. We had a little trouble getting the TV on at first and then turning it off again. Maybe the remote needs new batteries? If not, some instructions would be good. I would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed for three days in this wonderful cottage. Everything is beautifully done, with thoughtful and creative touches everywhere you turn. You will absolutely love everything about this place!! "

"Everything was clean. The beds were comfortable. I had read other reviews, so I knew there was no stove or oven, but you have to wash diahes in the bathroom sink. The electric kettle could not be used in the area where the kitchen type equipment resides. There was no electrical outlet close enough for the short cord."

"I checked out the back yard, and the view was nice, but local critters had been using it, so I didn't go out again. The house was as advertised and clean. "

"It has manageable limitations of space regarding entry and parking. It was a good location for us allowing easy connection to Eureka bike trail system. Modest in size and yet completely functional with comfort. An artistic beauty of furnishings with excellent quality of kitchen and overall amenities."

"We brought our 3-yr-old for a weekend vacation in beautiful Ferndale. The house is decked out with the most exquisite Victorian antiques and little details. Every inch of the place full of artifacts and it is clear that the proprietors care very much about preserving the rich history of the home.
