Heart of Historic Savannah - Renovated Carriage House - LOCATION

Located in the heart of the Historic District, this cute carriage house apartment ready for your Savannah getaway. Situated just off one of the nicest streets in the USA, Jones Street (on E Jones Lane) and by Clary's cafe, you can walk everywhere! The Cathedral is 2 blocks away. The home is located between Calhoun and Lafayette Squares, 1/4 block off Abercorn Street.

Renovated completely in 2017 with new flooring, cabinets in kitchen, granite counter and light fixtures, this clean efficiency will be everything you need.

Appointed with a mini-fridge, stove top, pots and pans, stand up shower, and new HVAC to keep you cool, you have everything to make your vacation in Savannah a perfect one. Sip coffee on the bright patio overlooking a private courtyard. Enjoy the Savannah life for a weekend or longer. We are happy to host you.

Home is one flight up. As your host we will give you privacy completely but if you need any recommendations or have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Admin and Support hours end at 9:00 PM. Any raised concerns will be acknowledged the morning of the next day.

Location was the best part of our stay

Steep stairs to get in to the studio. Renovations lack luster. Cutting a hole in the door to the bathroom on the side so you can close the door is comical when your husband is a contractor. Bathroom shower is tiny, bed was comfortable. Requested additional towels and we were not accommodated. I do not believe the owner was local and there was no management company to help. Musty throughout the whole stay. Came home with all are clothes damp. Listing is deceiving. All in all I would give it a 7

Perfect location historical district

Great location with everything in walking distance. Enjoyed siting out on the patio. Very affordable & comfortable for a couple. Communication was excellent with the host. Highly recommend & would stay again.

The stairs are ridiculously steep. Area is too small for two people. the electrical outlets are questionable. you have to find street parking in that there is no assigned parking. this place is worn all to hell

Not as Expected

Stairs are steep and narrow. Sensor for stairwell lighting randomly activated throughout the night making it difficult to get a good night’s rest. The price point seems excessive for this property. A very small unit & parking is challenging.

We enjoyed our stay and the location was great for the St Patrick’s Day parade! Very cozy accommodations. Perfect for two people! Exactly as described. The stairs are steep and narrow. Kevin responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had.

Savannah getaway.

The property is perfectly located between the touristy historic district and the more local driven Victorian district. Once we parked our vehicle we were able to walk everywhere. This property will be our first choice for all of our future Savannah visits.

cute place, easy to get around.

The place is in a perfect location, walkable area to River Street and many other fun locations. Unit is in an old, cute, carriage house. Steep, narrow stair to get inside, but once upstairs, everything is on one level.

Cozy and comfortable

This rental is VERY "cozy"...think a very small efficiency apartment. It works fine for one person or a couple if you dont plan on spending much time in the rental (just sleep and shower). Wasn't an issue for us, we expected as much. Unit was clean, had sufficient amenities for 1-2 people for the weekend. Our only major complaint was the WiFi...the signal was weak and our devices kept disconnecting, and lagged while connected. Short walk to downtown and attractions. Very old building, but it is a safe area and relatively quiet. Host is communicative and responds in a timely manner if needed. Would stay again if the WiFi issue was resolved.

The location of the property is fantastic. An easy walk to restaurants, shops, to River Street, the while of Savannah. Parking is limited to on-street, which wasn’t a problem as I never had time finding a spot on the same block. The apartment was lacklustre. First of all, I think there needs to be a dehumidifier fitted. Immediately walking in, the apartment has an extremely musty smell that permeates everything. Once I returned home, all of my clothes, including those that I never wore, smelt musty. The apartment itself wasn’t too bad. There is wear, but nothing that, in itself, takes away from it. It could do with some work, but again, nothing that directly makes the stay unpleasant. The bed was comfortable and there is plenty of room. However, I’m not sure what is below the apartment, but from around 10pm-1am it was clear that someone was having a party directly below us in the garage. I’m not sure how much control the hosts have over this, but I will say, there must be very little insulation between the upstairs and downstairs as I heard every single word that was spoken. This unfortunately made getting a good nights sleep impossible. Honestly, if the issues with the humidity/dampness causing the mustiness and the noise weren’t there, it would have been fine, but overall these things really were a problem.
