"I had booked this hotel primarily for it being dog friendly and offering dog amenities like food and water bowls and a bed however since there is a new owner they don’t really offer anything. It is a pretty basic hotel with Lil to no amenities however, I will say that the king size bed I slept in, was very clean and comfortable."

"The hotel was booked with the name Sentenel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, apparently it was sold and name changed to the Margot Gaslamp Quarter. Caused a lot of confusion, especially when using GPS to locate the hotel. I finally just went in and that is when I was told there was a name change after recently being bought by the Hilton. Should jave a sign which stated formerly the Sentenel, there were 2 calls during my check in where the caller had same issue. When looking on the website it said...

"Truly excellent hotel! The staff were great and the hotel was absolutely adorable-even the elevator was cute! Location was perfect and within walking distance of a million restaurants as well as Petco Park. In a city FULL of hotels, this is definitely the one to beat."

"The rooms were very clean, and the staff customer service was excellent. We only stayed one night, so there was not much of a chance to use all amenities; however there is a coffee bar that sells starbuck drinks located on the same level as the hotel lobby, and a Kneads bakery where they serve gluten free options"

"I’ve stayed at many other Marriott Locations and This one is by far theee best one I’ve stayed at yet. The staff was wonderful, I had a corner room with a partial City/ Bay/pool View and it was beautiful 😍 The continental buffet Breakfast was great with the different choices they had. The roof top bar was good vibes. & the hotel is literally walking distance to just about anything."

"Staff was great. Food was mediocre to poor, room was dirty, ac didn’t get cold. Room price for the night was way too much for what we received. Only offered valet parking for $70 a night. Downtown San Diego (gaslamp) is filthy, transients everywhere."

"Stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I understand Moxy is meant to be more casual and compact, but the rooms felt old and not well maintained. The bed was uncomfortable, there was barely any closet or storage space, and no complimentary water in the room. Housekeeping only cleaned the room once during my entire stay, and I had to call and request it myself. Overall, the hotel feels overdue for updates and better service standards."

"We had travelled from London and were pretty tired when we arrived. We were welcomed and were in our room quickly. We were only staying for 1 night and had booked a cosy room. The positives were a comfortable bed, large TV and big shower. The room was tiny and had no storage space. There was a rail with hangers hanging on the wall. There was only a socket for charging on one side of the bed. There were no facilities in the room to make a hot drink. The glass in bathroom was clear which meant for...
