"Stayed at two other California hostels in the past couple of years and this one was by far the best. Very private double bed, great bathroom facilities, and overall just a really great experience. My only complaint would be that the kitchen area is small. Hard for more than one person to move around in there."

"Staff is great, rooms are pretty decent and location is great if your wanting to be in the gaslamp! But, while booking i find it quite deceptive as they do not have a pool or gym like it states when booking. I for sure wouldn't have booked if I had known that. But, overall it was a good stay. Walls are very thin as it's an old building."

"The room is clean, all the sheets are replaced after every guest. Staff are also helpful. The breakfast is the only fly in the ointment, which is just oat and milk.Maybe just add some bread will be better."

"The property is beautiful. It is an older building that has been remodeled and the decor is stunning. Despite having seen the pictures, the experience in person was even better. It is a large hotel with boutique hotel vibes. The hotel lobby smells incredible. The hallway to the rooms is purposely dimly lit to go with the vibe/ambiance/mood of the space. The rooms are a little small but they've maximized the space to have two small seating spaces and a large bed. The bathroom was very spacious....

"Great spot for plane spotting aircraft at SAN. The rooftop guest area has a great view for pictures. Large rooms and ample beds make it excellent for large families."

"Love this hotel! The courtyard is a beautiful peaceful place to enjoy great food & drinks, couldn’t recommend it more. We stayed here twice, the rooms are small so would recommend upgrading to the larger size room if possible. Great location & dog friendly!"
