Check-in required passport details and selfies holding our IDs. The agency said this was required by Italian police law but did not provide the specific requirement when asked. The directions were unclear, and reaching the apartment meant a long walk and numerous steep, difficult steps. Getting to and from the apartment was challenging, especially for a guest with mobility issues...

"Apartment is beautiful. However you have no privacy in the living room area as you can see from outside the windows in and here in lake como there are many more apartments around that are higher than this one or about the same height and can see in.
Also had LOTS of trouble with check in as the host DOES NOT want to answer anything and only directs you to a link with drop down arrows where there is paragraphs explaining things. They only give you a parking lot and pictures and you need to...

"The property itself was nice with a solid view of the lake. I had thought the property was on the lake side, but it’s actually across the street. Nevertheless, the views of the lake were still good. The unit was a more modern unit with good AC, plenty of space and multiple balconies.
