"Such a unique and lovely spot! Perfect for our weekend getaway. So many small touches that made us feel so welcomed. I didn’t pay attention to the pictures to notice it’s lifted out of the water, but with the wind & rain overnight we were thankful as we still heard the water lapping underneath but didn’t get the same rolling all of the nearby docked boats had. Just steps from the Big Owl Tiki Bar where we had the best crabcake sandwiches. Will definitely be back, thanks again! "

"Beautiful experience. The property was right on the bay with spectacular views and sunsets. The house itself was wonderful. It was comfortable and beautifully appointed with high quality furnishings and antiques.The kitchen had everything needed. AC and overhead fans provided excellent comfort. Kayaks and a canoe were great for cruising on the bay. They also had bikes available (we brought our own). Biking is a pleasure on the rural and flat terrain of the Eastern shore. "The Oaks is in an absolutely perfect location and checks all the boxes a large family needs for a stay. We booked it for our wedding at the AYC for close family and it was far superior to booking 6 hotel rooms where everyone would have been locked in their own rooms. They hung out and spent a great time together on the main level. It was nice to be at a historic home with all the fun quirks. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend! "

"Wow! What an incredible property and house. We were a group of families with small kids, and it was heaven for them playing in the pool, on the dock, on the playground, and in the expansive yard. Lots of beautiful sunsets on the patio for the grown-ups too. We never had to leave. Can't recommend highly enough. "
