"We were here for work, working 7 12 hour days. The owners or number listed are responsive, not that there were many questions but wanted to let them know we had arrived, and that garbage was ready to be taken out. It was nice to enjoy after 12 hours of work, the screened in porches are real nice, would be a really nice place for a family getaway, plenty of space to seat people for meals. We will stay here again if working in the area "

"Our family of 4 came for a long weekend at Solomons Island, where we spent time as kids. The Retreat on the Patuxent is an ideal place to get away for peaceful relaxation, while being conveniently located near the restaurants and attractions at Solomons. My mom loved the upstairs bedroom/bathroom suite, and the downstairs bedrooms were spacious for me, my sister, and her husband. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen, the open family room, and the amazing views of the Patuxent from the front windows....

"The Blue Crab Beach House was exactly what we needed for our stay in Maryland during our daughter's college graduation. We could tell that the home is well taken care of and thoughtfully maintained. It was clean, cozy, and stocked with everything we could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to laundry detergent and beach towels. "Our granddaughters live in the neighborhood and our youngest was having her first birthday! It was just my husband and myself, way more house than we needed but tons more comfortable than a hotel. The winter views of the Bay from the living room were awesome. I highly recommend you make a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. "A few local spots to eat were great in the morning especially the Tighlman Market! Market has all you need to stock up with groceries and is just 2 minutes from the house."

"Beautiful property, beds and linens were cozy, house was gorgeous inside and out. A huge amount of stairs though so be warned! Kitchen is on the bottom floor so I think I walked 75 flights of stairs for the weekend so just be aware! Otherwise it’s a great place to stay on the water!"

"Brett was by far the best host I’ve ever interacted with on VRBO. There was consistent communication before, during, and after our stay to make sure I had the best experience possible. The cabin was also wonderful. It is an old cabin with tons of charm and character. The water views are as awesome as the pictures show. Every morning and evening a bald eagle perched on a tree beside the property. If you love bird watching there was a wonderful showing there as well. I definitely plan on returning...

"We stayed here for 2 nights with 3 other couples. Bedrooms are very spacious. There are 2 rollaway beds and it looks like a pack n play as well for families with kids. Both couches pull out into beds. Everything was perfect for our needs. You can fit 3 cars in the front driveway but there’s also 2 spots available behind the house. You can also see the Bay from the front windows. Close to stores and gas as well. Would definitely recommend! "

"This house is huge and has lots of different indoor and outdoor gathering spaces so the kids and adults in our group of three families didn’t have to be on top of each other in one living space the whole time. Big firepit area and huge lawn were great, and we enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. There’s a place to buy fresh crabs, oysters, and shrimp very close by, and the house has everything you need for a crab night. The owner was incredibly responsive and kind."

"Frank is a wonderful property manager. The house was well decorated and clean. We spent the majority of time in the sun room or outside on the patio. There were jellyfish near the doc, so we didn't get in the water. We did take great pictures of the Osprey, who would often sit on the pier pilings.Pet friendly and can sleep the whole family. Note, while the house can sleep 14, there are only 2 bathrooms, which could be odd if you aren't all family. (we had 6 adults, and a 2 year old). Always...
