The Boat Shed - Lake Okareka

Summary:
On the north facing side of Acacia Road peninsula with magnificent views across Lake Okareka back toward Mt. Tarawera.
A great base for Redwoods mountain-biking, trout fishing, Nduro/Xterra events, walking trails, Maori culture. The deck has fantastic morning sun, just the perfect place for that first coffee!

Lake access 30m away and boat ramp 700m away, The Boat Shed is the perfect getaway for a couple or a small family.

The Space:
The "Boatshed" apartment covers three levels.

Ground floor includes kitchenette and bathroom. The kitchenette has a fridge/freezer, microwave, benchtop oven, single induction cooktop, kitchen sink and the usual cutlery/crockery.

The 2nd floor includes a lounge area with Smart TV and a Queen bed that can be separated from the lounge by a pull-down privacy screen.

The 3rd floor includes a second Queen bed in the A-frame loft area. Due to the A-frame shape this bedroom has reduced headroom on one side. It also has a sliding wooden screen shutter closing off this mezzanine upper level from looking down onto the 2nd floor.

The wi-fi device is the round white gadget on the stairway wall behind the TV. This allows wi-fi connectivity as well as plays music, gives weather forecasts, etc.

Guest Access:
You'll have the whole apartment to yourself during your stay. The driveway and parking area is shared by the main house.

The Neighborhood:
Lake Okareka is a lovely quiet lakeside neighbourhood. It's just a short drive from town and just 5min to The Redwoods Forest

Getting Around:
The property is 10min drive into the city, we recommend having your own vehicle when staying here.
