"Excellent location to Cal Poly Humboldt. As well as stores and restaurants in McKinleyville. Nice amenities.Very dog friendly, they even had dog poop bags, such a nice touch. We could park in the garage, which we loved. Definitely will stay here again."

"I injured my knee the evening before I was to drive up to King Salmon, so was unable to enjoy Shell Cottage, and too late for any refund! I had stayed previously however, and it was lovely; hence my desire to return."

"Wonderful stay thanks to the owner manager that went out of their way to make sure our check in and details were all met. Near everything... fun little spot."

"The entire family just loved the stay at your lovely home! If we’re ever back in the area, we will definitely want to stay there. I have never been in such a cool house like this one. Unlike anywhere we have ever stayed. Everything was so nice and tidy and lots of amenities. Room for all five of us and two dogs. We really, really loved it!!! Magical was a good word for it."

"Beautiful house in a perfect location across from hiking and a cool playground at Arcata Park. The house was well appointed and the owners were very responsive in bringing over a battery we needed. Great stay!"

"Cottage was exactly as described and perfect for our family of five for three nights. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Two bathrooms and washer/dryer was a huge plus! Kitchen had everything we needed (except coffee- bring your own) and everything was very clean. I enjoyed coffee on the deck each morning and the breeze through open windows at night was delightful. "

"Great spot, great communication. Really a gem of a location if you are heading north. Lots of simple dining around and easy access to the local beaches. "

"We ran out of coffee filters and dishwasher soap. There was no pepper in pepper shaker or on shelf. It would have been nice to have oil be a staple. Primary bathroom ran out of conditioner. Just a suggestion, but it would have been nice to have a couple of throw blankets so we could snuggled in them and used less heat. "
