  • New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

    Beautiful sound-front Soundsational is better than ever. This 2,700-square-foot home has a large waterfront lot that is the perfect launch for kitesurfers, windsurfers, kayakers, and those who simply love the best sunsets on the island. The waterfront is bulkheaded and has an extended pier for easy access to the sound. The ground level has good concrete parking, two carports, and an all-weather entry. The waterfront pool has a large, furnished sundeck, a hot tub, an outside shower, and a bath. The waterfront is bulkheaded and has a small dock for easy water entry for kids and adults. The first level opens with a game room featuring a pool table, a TV, a stereo, a mini kitchen with a sink, a microwave, a fridge, and a full bath. The first bedroom has two bunks and a TV. On level two, the second bedroom has deck access, and it shares a bath with hall access. The third bedroom has a TV. A sound-front bedroom has a TV, deck access, and a full bath. You'll also have a private washer/dryer.

    The third-level living area has tall ceilings and panoramic views of the ocean and sound. A 60-inch LCD TV, and stereo system anchor the well-furnished living room. Another second sitting area has easy access to the furnished ocean and sound sundecks. The well-designed tile-floored kitchen has a breakfast island and is ready to provide meals for hungry friends at the sound-front dining area. The fifth bedroom is a sound-front room with deck access, plus a full bath. The kids will flip for the upstairs bonus loft with a daybed. Soundsational is absolutely sensational!

    Things to Know
    The private pool is open seasonally from 4/26/2025 and closes 10/12/2025. Dates are subject to change.
    The pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.
    You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Beautiful Property

Our family spent a long weekend at this home, and loved it. The home is beautiful, and laid out in such a way to allow you to really enjoy nature and the views of the Sound. We loved the dock, and the easy access to the water that came with the home!

Wonderful fall getaway.

The house has everything needed for a wonderful vacation. The house was clean and comfortable, and dog friendly. We loved our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the deck. A perfect Fall getaway, thank you!

Kiteboarding in Waves

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Great location with beautiful views of the sound. Our teens enjoyed the property amenities - pool table, hot tub and water access. The property could use a little more basic maintenance and groundskeeping.

Excellent location!

House fulfilled all of our needs with 9 family members. Great view and we loved kayaking. We also really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. This was our 24th annual OBX trip and we already can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing Sunsets!

The sunsets every night were amazing. What a treat! This was our first time staying soundfront and we will definitely be back! Loved the easy water access for kayaking and paddle boarding. Nice, uncrowded public beach access and FWD beach access nearby.

We loved the view, accessibility for our kayaks, the large dining table so that we could all be together, the pool, hot tub, place was clean, and the entire house was so accommodating for our needs. Will return next year!

Overall the trip was great!! The view is spectacular!!! We definitely would say some of the things could use a little updating and it didn’t quite look as nice as the pictures made it look. Again the view just makes the whole place worth it in the end. We will still definitely be back no matter what in the future.

kiting trip

house fun, allows dogs, great location for kiting but dangerous getting over the rock on shoreline, owner says will rebuild a pier for kiting which is a must if a kiting house

Beautiful home, great location!!!!

We loved the location of this home. It’s a very comfortable and spacious home with a fabulous view of the sound. We also enjoyed the pool quite a bit. This was our 21st year coming to the OBX. We have stayed in many houses, some repeatedly. We would have rebooked for next year but price is more than doubling (almost triple) for this house.

Great View

House is located at a great spot! Right on sound & walking distance to a couple of stores. Loved the view! From top floor it seems like you are sitting on water. Simply beautiful. Hung out at the pool all week. No need to go to beach. Believe most would enjoy this house.

Sunsets…..enough said

Great layout and location. Sunsets were spectacular from many deck levels. Would get five stars if….house was cleaner(need through spring cleaning for dusty vents and disgusting, dusty head board in main level bedroom) and do something about middle level deck where pigeons nest and poop all over, piles of poop, grills were gross and only one burner of the three lit on the propane grill, so no cookout for us. That said, loved the location and with a little more care of the house, would be a five star review.

We had a great time in the Outer Banks. We loved the location of the house. However, not being able to turn the thermostat below 71 made our stay sometimes uncomfortable. The house was not cleaned appropriately. The rugs and the couches were nasty as well as one of the beds not being made. We feel it did not match the price to rent the house. We would not rent this property again.

Maintenance issues. Sliding doors, dishwasher leaks, grills unusable, keys don't work, broken cha...

Couldn't fit in the problems: they wanted me to rent a grill instead of bringing us a new one. Loved the house..very well kept, clean, nice supply of dishes, glasses, bowls, pots, pans ect.... Most beds (not the queen) are comfortable. King bed on top floor needs a much bigger top fitted sheet. Keeps falling off but the bed is comfortable. Great pool and pool area, love the privacy, great being so close to the water. I definitely would rent again.

Really is Soundsational

This is a perfect vacation rental. The location is wonderful with perfect sunset vistas, but a terrific view of the sound all around. You cannot get any closer. The house itself is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated with many extras. While the kitchen is somewhat small, it is extremely well appointed. The house and grounds are well kept. The pool is great, the sound right in front of you, and the ocean nearby. What more could you ask for? I have wanted to stay this house since I saw it years ago and couldn't book it. The last 2 weeks have been magical in every way. I would love to come back here and so should you.

Beautiful....but many problems .

The house is lovely and the setting also but we encountered several problems. The hot tub was not working and it we waited 3 days for the repairman, pool heat was not turned on, water was dripping from the ceiling on the first floor and all the drains were very slow and a lock on one of the doors had to be repaired. House was very clean and Linda from Vacasa did keep in touch with us during these problems.

Our stay was absolutely amazing at the house. Check in we had to drive to Vacasa to pick up the key, but it was right down the road. The house was absolutely amazing and we would totally stay again. It was right on the water so that was definitely worth it. There’s a sidewalk that runs in front of the house so the kids were able to bike ride back-and-forth.We did have issues with Vacasa not responding to our request. The grill was unusable and the TV in the living room wasn’t working, along with an along with a few other minor things. But that’s totally not the owner’s fault. I would just suggest to the owner to change rental companies. Vacasa kept responding to my text saying somebody would get back to us. I called multiple times with no response. I was totally ignored. But thank goodness these were minor things so I was requesting compensation back. I am still waiting to hear about compensation. I pray that the owner reads this and responds.
