"Loved staying at this great guest house. Very convenient for Edinburgh city centre as bus stop for the city centre is right outside the door. Craig is a great host with lots of helpful information. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Kelly and Kevin were both very welcoming and helpful and kind and funny. They gave us many helpful tips and their guidance greatly improved our experience. The breakfast was delicious and our room was lovely. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ceilidh-donia."

"I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Definitely recommend t He Stay at the Brae."

"I very much enjoyed staying here. The room was perfectly clean and neatly decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept well. Warm welcome and excellent breakfast too. Would be very happy to stay again."

"Comfy, modern and quiet rooms. Clean and updated shower/bathroom. The property is tucked away surrounded by idyllic gardens and picturesque vistas with castle-like buildings nearby. Very convenient bus stop down the street. Top-notch staff are attentive and there's a chic bar area for a night cap."

"Easy to access, bustop right outside. It took 25 min to Edinburgh by bus. Our room (with private bathroom) was clean and nice. It was kind of thin walls though, we could all hear each other. We were only there for 3 nights, but we would recommend it! "

"Sorry that there was no elevator, but because it is an historical property, it can not be installed. Staff was wonderful and breakfast and the room it was served was beautiful. Well worth the money if you can do 47 steps to the top floor. Were in our late 70’s and we did it!!!! Great spot and great people running it."

"Excellent and friendly welcome, room was checked over before giving us the keys, answered our questions (regarding public transport to Edinburgh). Good night’s sleep, comfortable and quiet. Good continental breakfast in the morning was good, with good service, option of coffees which where brought to the table. Would recommend this hotel, not large but good."

"Very clean and tidy, with a very comfy bed and good shower. Only met the staff very briefly and check in hence the 4 staffs but everything was fine with enough tea and coffee. Would be great if they did breakfasts"

"My main concern was that the HVAC system was not working well. We were in a bit of a heat wave and the AC was not working very well. Both the quantity & quality of air. Love that the train station was literally across the street."
