Las Memorias is a divers’ paradise! Our gated community offers an onsite dive shop, restaurant, bar and beach side shared pool. With stunning ocean views and miles of sandy beaches and spectacular snorkeling just fifty yards from shore. The Palmetto Bay community sits on 150 acres and provides 24-hour security, there is a fabulous palapa dock which is perfect to do yoga, enjoy morning coffee, or just swing in a hammock and relax while you listen to the surf. It's also a great starting point to swim out to the reefs, or line fishing. The property is uniquely surrounded by a protected nature preservation and is home to many wild parrots, agouti, butterflies and more! There are many mature fruit bearing trees. They include; varieties of mango, papaya, coconut, cashew, banana, lime, pineapple, noni, almonds, soursop, and cacao. Palmetto is just minutes from shopping, attractions and the signature Pete Dye golf course, Black Pearl.  

The home offers three spacious bedrooms and two full baths (not including the outdoor shower), a full kitchen and dining room with a wrap-around porch perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon. This beautifully appointed Bali style home has room for everyone and boast high ceilings made of Honduran hard wood, it has amazing beach views, lush surroundings, a washer/dryer, cable and air conditioned bedrooms.

With the alluring views of the jungle and the tranquil blue waters, this is beach-side living at its best!

We had an amazing stay. The host Stephanie was amazing. Beautiful clean home set back among beautiful trees and flowers. Plenty of towels and blankets. It did not have an ocean view but it was not a far walk to the ocean and it was quiet and away from the activity areas that were closer to the ocean. Air conditioning worked well. Had a full kitchen, with everything needed to cook. The grocery store was nearby and we cooked many meals while we visited. Clean water jugs were supplied. It had a laundry room. Living room. 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. 2 sunrooms with hammocks. Four adults stayed comfortably. Great security patrolled and it is very safe place. I love Palmetto Bay, 3rd visit and best place to stay on the island. Dive shop and dining available right there as well.

Wonderful bungalow tucked under a canopy of tropical trees with a creek nearby that you can hear from the bedroom. The resort was perfect for us. Laid-back vibe with beautiful landscaping, a private beach and pool, dive shop and restaurant right on the property. We ate at the restaurant every day, everything was fresh and delicious and the prices were very reasonable.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

The house was clean, gorgeous, and well laid out with lots of space. I absolutely loved the hammocks set up on each screened in porch with fans to keep us cool. It was so quiet and peaceful, hearing the birds and animals each morning. Everyone was so helpful and kind. With just a quick walk we were at the pool, beach, or restaurant. Close off the property was the brewery for a change of scenery.

Jungle retreat with quick access to the beach

We had a wonderful stay in this amazing home. The property was clean and just as described. We made use of the dive shop on site and had amazing experience (including seeing a hammerhead shark!). This location is away from the hustle and bustle of the cruises, yet with our rental car we were able to experience West Bay and West End. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful house and grounds

We loved our stay at this home. The set up was perfect for our family that included 2 couples and 2 kids. Easy walking distance to the beach, restaurant and pool. We even found some snorkeling right off the beach as recommended by the dive shop. We enjoyed dinner there several nights and walked a few minutes to the brewery. This place has everything you would want for a quiet trip to Roatan.

Paradise with great service and adventure

Palmetto Bay is the place I will always come back to in Roatan. The 3 beedroom beach house we stayed in was perfectly clean, fresh and fully furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable week's stay in paradise. Its a short walk to the bar and restaurant, pool, dive shop and beach. The dive shop is right there and has everything you need for adventure no matter what your scuba level might be - they absolutely the best dive masters on the Island. The only negative was the no see ems that will eat you alive if you forget to put on your bug spray. Oh yea, it is also a short walk to the only brewery on the Island with good eats and a wide variety of beers and (my favorite) kombucha. I will be back!

Best girls trip!

I stayed here with two other adult women on a girls trip. It was a fabulous stay. The host was so wonderful, the condition of the property was pristine, the area was serene and yet energetic. The host was amazing and communicative. It felt truly magical. I am now looking at ways to get back here! Truly an experience beyond words!
