"A 1 night stay for my daughter's graduation. Check in was excellent, we popped in early, asked if we could leave the car so we could run back down the road for the morning tea and the rest of the ceremonies etc. Came back later to get changed.
The room had a distinct smell of cooking to it, even though they had left all of the windows wide open (winter and cold!)
No plug sockets where you needed them, so couldn't plug in lamp at the side of the bed, phone had to be charged at the opposite side...

"Our unit received no sun, and had no outlook. There was some sort of heating unit close to the outside wall by the bed head, either a heat pump or gas califont, that created an annoying noise at the time most people would go to bed. The noise did stop after some time, but was quite noticeable and annoying when we went to bed.
The unit was clean, and in a handy location, but was very dated. We would not stay here again."

"Accomodation had been double booked. Instead of cancelling the booking from their end the host messaged me on trivago, since I was expecting a message anyway for the login code, and you have to login to read messages I left it. Host also alerted trivago it was double booked, who did not contact me either. Drove all the way to Dunedin with 2 kids, stranded and nowhere to stay. Spent $400 to stay at scenic circle for the first night, Dunedin was booked out for the second night so we had to drive...
