"Only the bare minimum: no kitchen items; last updated in 1950 maybe; no extras; a clean bed only; needs a deep clean throughout. The floor was not glued down. Can see daylight around the door, windows also shook in the wind, and the door handles are loose. Had to get the manager to turn on the water for my shower. Maybe just over 1 star. With some updates and love/work, it would be a great place. "

"Really lovely hotel, helpful staff. No elevator, so ask for ground floor if stairs are an issue. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and perfect portion for light eater. I guess the serve dinner, had not known, would have eaten there if I had known, looked nice. Rooms are big and beautifully furnished, nice bathroom and fireplace was a great touch. This will be my place to stop in future trips."

"This property was well maintained. The rooms were large and the bathroom was beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was average, but had a nice selection of food. I loved that they had raw sugar and a vanilla. I would definitely stay here again!"

"This is the sister lodge of the boutique hotel across the street. This another well-maintained facility. I actually our room here better than in the boutique because the room’s layout was better. It was nicely decorated, cozy, quiet and there is no second floor, so you don’t have to carry your luggage up the stairs."

"The free breakfast was excellent and check in was easy. The couch in our was so dirty and the AC was so loud. We had to turn it off then despite the hot summer heat. It was just loud you couldn’t sleep with that kind of noise."

"A great facility on a large property. Its southern style, so the complex is made up of several different structures with several rooms in each. We got the family suite which is the entire top floor of one of the smaller structures. I definitely recommend it. It has ample room for multiple people. The details from the welcoming board, a decent size fenced green space for the dogs, pullout dog bed, buildings where dogs are welcome to join, layout of the entire complex and cleanliness of property throughout & there’s even a dog wash station open 24/7. "Although our place was large in the living area, the bedroom was extremely small. It only has a full bed with an oversize wardrobe. The mattress was extremely firm and I ended up sleeping on the couch. Also, on first glance, it appeared to be clean, but was not we paid extra for the cleaning fee. All the toiletries were empty. With just a few minor adjustments this place could be better. Probably would not recommend mainly because of the sleeping situation."
