"We paid months ahead as with many other accommodations, which we've never had any issues with. This place was hard to find so we called to clarify directions, and we were told if we didn't have a 4x4 that it wasn't possible to get to (which was NOT mentioned on the booking site on Expedia) We were left to scramble and find a place to stay last minute which was inconvenient and cost a lot more. We were also informed we would be given the money back but months later we still haven't seen it. "

"Stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4. The grounds were exceptionally beautiful. You are surrounded by lush gardens within the hotel. "The people who work here are wonderful and helpful. Today as I was leaving, a workman there helped me by taking my walker down two treacherous steps and loading my junk in the rental car. The two steep steps leading into the unit need a ramp that can be put over the steps for walkers or wheelchairs. This is true for the steps to the pool, as well. "Being a surf hostel, the place is run by young 20 year olds. Which is just something to be aware of in terms of the professionalism and unwarranted sassyness lol. I also thought it was a little pricey compared to its competitors in the area. It wasn’t very busy when my friend and I stayed and it gave off a very cliquey vibe. Other than that it’s literally steps away from the beach and is within reasonable walking distance to the rest of Jacó. Also loved the ample parking for our rental car. "
