"Das Hotel ist im Stil einer alten Kolonialvilla augestattet,sehr stimmig und geschmackvoll. Der Garten, der Pool, Alles sehr gepflegt. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was uns nicht gefallen hat, waren die Preise im Restaurant (völlig überteuert!) und dass den ganzen Tag Musk lief, die ja in dieser Lautstärke nicht jedem gefällt. Schade, es könnte ein richtig superfriedlicher Ort sen. "

"They have two nice pools. Although we have used only seaside and beach. Not enough and old sunbeds. They have a shower on the beach side. Experienced, helpful and kind staff. They have let me to call airline due to sudden situation. Thanks a lot for it. We have waited a bit long for the dinner after ordering in the restaurant and at the end one of the order was forgotten. He also picked us up from the airport, and drove us to Hillary’s via a turtle hatchery and a boat trip on the River Madu. "A family business run by Himmel. The property sits right next to Bentota Lagoon. There is a daily shuttle to and from the beach. The accommodation is in a block of two floors. The rooms are clean and spacious with plenty of storage space and a large furnished patio or balcony overlooking the pool and lagoon. The rooms are kept very clean by very friendly staff. "The staff was so nice. The room was large, 4 post bed, mini frig, beach and bath towels in room. It was very clean. Balcony was nice with sturdy chairs and table. View was nice over pool. Free beach chairs. Can by drinks/food- everyone there also nice. Good place to rest, be at beach, breakfast good, restaurant/bar in hotels right there. Thank you for a good stay!"

"The architecture and gardens are a stand out feature of this hotel located on a quiet section of Bentota Beach ( separated by a railway line which you cross on foot!). Staff are efficient and courteous "

"Lite hotel med enkel standard. Fin rom med stor balkong. Vi fikk kjøleskap og vannkoker. Eieren kjørte oss rundt overalt og kom med flotte forslag om hva vi burde se og oppleve. "Layout of the hotel was good for see if views as the hotel stretches out length ways, room was a little rough around the edges and just feel it could do with a refurb to get five stars however the view was wonderful - the hotel seems to have like a hotel split in two vibe due to the layout Staff were all very nice Tuna turner was very nice food and drink but a little over priced when comparing the restaurants across the tracks which were very good River safari is worth paying a visit All in...

"This is a unique property. Much appreciated the serene and unhurried atmosphere. Very quiet property, the sound of the waves is the background music and ocean breeze is very nice. Staff were nice and professional. Great please to disconnect and leave your devices in the room."

"Unfortunately this place is in desperate need of investment. The kerb appeal is very good but the jetty for example is falling into the river and not as pictured. The room wasn't very clean which is a great pity as the owner is very friendly. The food was lovely, we had both Breakfast and evening meals and could not fault them. It just a great shame that it is not as good as it could be. If the owner makes a investment in his property he could definitely charge more to stay."

"We stayed here for four nights, it was steps away from the beach. The highlight of the stay was the helpful friendly staff. They bent over backwards to please us. The room price was very good, but I would recommend taking the deluxe room rather than the standard room for a better view. Breakfast was different each morning and the highlight of the breakfast was a plate of fresh fruit each morning. One night the internet was not working but we just mentioned it to Nimish and he looked after it....
