"It’s very lovely. The staff are great. Our room was huge, had everything we needed. The decor is very eclectic. It was a bit loud for me, but it’s fun. The street itself is very quiet, but it’s a less than 10 minute walk to restaurants, a small market, etc. It was chilly when we were there, so we didn’t get to enjoy the garden, but it’s a really nice space. The stairs are a lot, so if you have mobility issues, you need to check with them first. Also, it’s an old (but well maintained) house, so...

"Beautiful room with a king bed and separate living room. Bathroom very nice. I stayed a week and it was so comfortable to have the space. Highly recommend this place. Right across the street from the hop on hop off bus as well. "

"We stayed here for four nights, it’s a bit out but great transport links and lots of restaurants and bars near the old shore. The staff were really helpful, the room was lovely, beds and pillows really comfy. The free breakfast was amazing, lots of options. Would deffo stay here again. "

"Didn't eat there. Had good tea and coffee in room with a little bottle of milk in the fridge. Wonderful room, excellent shower, bath, toiletries towels and linens. Kelly at the front desk was lovely. I go back and forth from US to Scotland a couple of times a year and will definitely be back to the Balmoral."
