"Good house for a family if you can climb stairs. The amount of stairs was a surprise. . Location on the water was fabulous for kayaking. We thought it would be easy to get our kayaks down to the water from the parking area - NOT. We ended up driving to the community beach area to put our kayaks in. Saw a gray whale!! We still had a great time. Ants on the counter. Pest control needs to visit."

"My wife and I got away for a long weekend after being kid-free. We brought kayaks and wanted to explore the area. We enjoyed the location very much, with easy access to Hoodsport and Hama Hama. The access to the water wasn't as easy as we hoped, but the fact that there's a little county park in front of the house did work out for us. The neighbors seem very protective of the beach though, so that's weird. Luckily the smoke from the Bear Gulch fire didn't come down low enough to bother us either,...

"Our stay in Hoodsport was amazing and the cottage we stayed in was a big hit. It was the perfect space for our family -Mom, Dad, Toddler and Gram. "Wonderful stay! This is an extremely well-stocked cabin in a small, quiet, private lake community. There is a small walkable playground, and we caught the property in the tail end of the season for kayaks and paddleboards, so we still had access to them. "We loved staying here. The cabin layout is so nice and the large windows were very inspiring. The view of the trees was very nice. The patio was a great spot to spend the cool mornings stretching and drinking coffee. The walking proximity to the lake was very convenient and the swimming area at the lake was incredible. If you want a nice place to stay in proximity to Olympic National Park, this is a great choice."
