Its all situated in a square,like a market square surrounded by big granite hills.
We were shown to our room, was given a birthday card from the hotel chap which was a nice touch.
The room was surfice and had ensuite.

"We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, the team were busy and to be expected. We were then attended to within a few minutes. Polite and friendly and shown to our room. It was a building near the pub. Parking was free and able to park outside the pub.

"The staff were very friendly and the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Lovely location. The walls are thin in the hotel and I could hear a conversation in the next room. The food was ok. The early bird menu is good value."

The restaurant is excellent however do book in advance as it gets very busy and check your bill to ensure the deposit has been removed. We didn’t realise until the day after , it was rectified when we highlighted the mistake.

The only thing missing would be a little on site shop selling essentials, news and mags, ice cream etc. You...

"Our stay was perfect all the way from the initial, warm greeting from Pattra, to the wonderful room, a lovely Thai dinner and, then, a peaceful night’s sleep and an excellent breakfast. "This is a gem of an inn, located just a stone’s throw from the castle walls. The woman who runs it is a delight; friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and well stocked with teas and coffees and the like. The food - both dinner and breakfast - were excellent. It’s an older building so expect occasionally creaking floors (although they are carpeted) and low ceilings, but that just adds to the charm. Highly recommended if you can spend a night in Harlech. "
