Very friendly greeting when we arrived. Check in was easy and room was very nice. Only comment about the room, bathroom door latch didn't open fully so took some effort and a little noisy during the night. Food was good and reasonably priced. Well worth staying.

Room was spacious and spotless and the ensuite brand new. Breakfast was very good as an option. Welcome was warm. Bar was a nice addition. Location perfect and ample car parking opposite or on street.

Limited parking I have booked and paid with Expedia but staff said its booked but not paud so i paid upfront when we checked in, i have to deal with this with Expedia Anyway the room is clean but no loo roll not a single one in toilet when we arrived so i have to ask for one. But staffs are helpful. Very good location our room is overlooking the sea; nice pillows too.

We had a great little break away. The property was in a great location and the rooms were spacious enough for a family of 4. Staff were really friendly and inviting on arrival.

Nice hotel, beautiful location. Our room was clean although there were stains on the carpet which could have been taken care of. I would not advise eating there, breakfast wasn't great. Also the dining area floor was very dirty, lots of dog hair. There is a robot vacuum under one of the charis but it looks like it hasn't been used in a long time, has quite a thick layer of dust on it. Staff were okay, not very friendly

We had a lovely stay here with our baby and toddler. The location was excellent just a short walk to the beach, and the castle was directly opposite, which looked beautiful lit up at night. There were plenty of nearby shops, cafés and places to grab breakfast, food and ice cream, making everything really convenient. It’s also a great spot for anyone who enjoys fishing. The only downside was that the hotel was a little run down and could do with some updating. However, it wasn’t particularly dirty and was perfectly fine for somewhere to sleep while spending most of the day exploring the local area. As a family with a baby and toddler, the location made everything easy and accessible. Overall, it’s a great base and reasonably priced if you’re looking for a convenient place to stay while visiting the nearby attractions.

This is a lovely hotel with great views and is also dog-friendly (which is why we originally chose it). The standout element has to be the service — Leah and the whole team are incredibly welcoming and put in next-level effort to ensure we had the best stay. If you’re not staying at the hotel but in the area, the new bar is super recommended! There are some lovely pubs but it’s definitely going to be a top spot. We’ll be back this summer for sure now. Thanks so much Leah for everything. 💖

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Marine Hotel with the family. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and just a short walk from the sea perfect for an evening stroll. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming. A great spot for a relaxing family getaway!

Our stay at The Marine Hotel was lovely. The room was lovey with a view of the castle and then of the ocean to our right. The room itself was clean. The bed was comfy and there was always great coffee available from Dee in the cafe downstairs. Will definitely be coming back for another adventure and would recommend.

Friendly and comfortable

The staff were very helpful and considerate, the room was very good and the bed was comfortable. There was internet access but we didn't need it. The hotel was near the town centre so walking wasn't a problem.

Nice room, soulless hotel

The room was neat and clean, and met our needs as a family of four. However, the hotel itself felt unmanaged and soulless. Reception seemed to be constantly closed, with the request to call a mobile number if you needed service (including checking out) - so three stars only for the overall experience. We did not see many other guests, and the bar area was not open. Maybe it was just a blip and we arrived on a bad weekend. Location-wise, this was a good base from which to explore Snowdonia in the summer.

Such a beautiful room looking over criccieth castle, we couldn’t have asked for a better room! However there was no mirror in the room, making it slightly annoying having to all wait to use the small bathroom mirror, also as it was really warm this weekend and we were on the top floor. Our room was really hot! A fan in the room would have been a great addition, other that those 2 minor things, ZERO complaints! 😀

Property had a great view of the sea and castle, staff were friendly if a little unprepared for our arrival, room was modern and clean, but the internet connection was unreliable, simple things were lacking like several sockets didn't work properly, not enough cups or tea/coffee sachets for a 5 person room, no tv reception, matress was poor, no mirror in bathroom etc. which was all a bit disappoitning given the price.

OverPromised & Under Delivered

We were really excited to stay here as a treat for a trip to North Wales to celebrate my 40th but I have to say we were left really disappointed. I must say that the lady who was standing in and working on the bar and front desk was wonderful, she explained that she wasn’t usually working there, but she was brilliant. Criccieth is beautiful and we had a nice evening watching the dolphins from the beach which was amazing. The hotel itself has a nice guest house charm and its large and welcoming, however i booked the room especially for its ‘partial sea view’ and when we got into out room the blind was down to hide the fact that theres a film on the window so theres no view at all - looking from the outside there was a pallete on the roof - there seems to be a lot of work happening at the hotel at the moment. There was no way to open the window either so no view at all. We tried to watch TV but it had no signal and the hotel wifi didnt reach our room on the top floor, so no TV either, this made the room feel quite cooped-up. The doors dont have handles to close, and its a key lock so you need to wedge your hand under the door to slam it shut to make it lock - not ideal. We had 1/3 of a loo-roll left on the roll and no spare so the lady on reception kindly went to the local shop and bought us some. Additionally our bin in the room was still full of the previous guests rubbish. After having paid for our dog to stay this hotel cost alot for one night and didnt deliver quality.
Our room was directly behind that pallet that can be seen on the roof - im assuming work is going on and thats why our view was covered.
Good sized room and befs were comfy
Not quite the ‘partial sea view’ that we booked
Wifi doesnt reach the room and no tv aerial so the TV is useless.
