One room had what appeared to be blood on the wall. Very disappointed as this hotel is supposed to be a 4 star."

"The hotel is in a lovely building, but the decor in our room was odd and dated - it needed a bit of tlc and updating in our opinion. Lovely views of the city and beyond. We wish the blinds/curtains had been black out, as it got quite light in the morning. The big light in our room flickered a lot, so we couldn’t use it. Free parking was great. The room was cleaned each day and had basic amenities - kettle with tea and coffee, ironing board and a safe in the wardrobe."

"Wir waren für fünf Nächte im Hotel! Man braucht ca. 15 Gehminuten bis zum Grassmarket! Eine Bushaltestelle ist nur ein paar Meter vom Hotel entfernt! Das Personal war steht's freundlich, bemüht und hilfsbereit! Das Hotel war sehr sauber und hatte eine tolle Ausstattung in den Zimmern! Ich hatte schon lange kein Hotel mehr, dass über so gute Betten und Kopfkissen verfügte! Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls hervorragend! Wir kommen gerne wieder! "

"Our apartment was tired looking, cleanliness can be improved. The complex is located a good 20mins walk from the city centre. There isn't much around the area. Pro: the kitchen is equipped with plates, cutlery, microwave, nespresso machine and tea and coffee facilities so it is useful if you want to cook some meals. Note that if you want to leave your luggage you need to pay for a storage locker and you pay £5 for 3hrs. We had 2 small carry on so it could fit in one locker"
