"The tiny little wall heater struggled to keep the place warm. It was freezing most of the time until I finally figured out how to change the program on the thermostat. Also, there was no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, Kleenex, or laundry soap. I figured it out, but would have been nice to have those items. The bed was quite soft. "General: Stayed for 6 nights. When we arrived for a time of solitude and study we found there was no toilet paper in the home, and several lightbulbs were burnt out making it impossible to get enough light in any area for the work we had rented it to accomplish. After our arrival I contacted the manager the next morning. We had a discussion over text and he ultimately he made the two hour trip to bring us some TP and lightbulbs. "Our stay was wonderful. It was nice to be able to visit our son and our granddaughter. The cottage was so cute and inviting. We sat outside and watched our granddaughter play in the playhouse. "Beautiful private cabin right on the beach. Harbor porpoises, birds, seals all visible from the deck. Sweet classic cabin with everything you need. Would be a small challenge for someone with mobility issues as the trail down is steep but the cabin is worth it."

"Chris hosted us for a short visit to the area. The room is clean and updated. The listing was accurate, and the bed was comfortable. I believe we were in the flight path for paine field but after a couple of early evening flyovers, it was quiet. The property is lovely and the view cannot be beat. "

"we loved this mid-century, fantasy-level retreat. Three stories, with a spa, ginormous shower, a perfect getaway for a large family or group. Big spacious rooms to share, and a sizable kitchen. Several floors offer brilliant views of both the lake and the Puget Sound & Whidbey Island: breathtaking! Everyone in our group agreed: We would all most definitely stay here again."

"A nice suite with condiments in the kitchen. Makes me feel like coming home after a day out. Good coffee supplied and a nice sharp cutting knife ready to make dinner. Other little things around that make it feel like a home. In winter take warm cushy socks as the door opens to the living room and makes it cool on the floor. Not able to control heat, but it was at a temperature I liked -maybe not for others? I will look for this place again when needed"
