Summer Vacation 25

The peir being built just to the East of the property was not a problem during our stay. The future of this property will be changing with the completion of the peir project. If you are going to fish it will be a welcomeing project. But it will probably increase traffic in the area.

Lovely location right on the beach. Quiet, breezy, restful, even though for a work meeting. House is pretty shaky in the wind, a little disconcerting. But super clean and perfect for our needs.

Had a great experience and would love to stay there again! Owner needs to have a exterminator come in 2x a month and spray for roaches and mosquitoes, but other than that it was fantastic!! Everything you need but beach towels

Great Friends and Family Home

This home was perfect for the 15 of us. The kitchen and living room space were perfect for allowing us to dine together. The easy access to the beach was a huge plus! Outdoor shower and foot wash helped so much to prevent sand from being tracked in. Neighbors were nice and beach was clean. I will definitely be booking again for the summer.

Family vacation summer 2023

We had a very lovely stay at a beautiful home well-kept very clean very enjoyable. The communication was fantastic timely emails. The kids loved it. The grandkids had a blast and us grandparents really enjoyed the family time in that home and the view was phenomenal. Great access to the beach. Will consider coming back again.

Family and Friends Get Away

Our family and friends had a wonderful time. The house is super spacious, and many amenities were unexpected. The Wi-Fi worked well, and most of the rooms had televisions. The kitchen was outfitted with pretty much everything. The porches, deck chairs, carport seating, and outdoor shower added to the square footage for our people. We will definitely go back again!

2023 Summer Vacation

The house and property were very nice. It was a little off the beaten path so not as packed on the beach as other houses we've stayed in on peninsula before which was nice with little ones. The only complaint anyone in our group really had was that the house definitely feels every little footstep and sways with you and we've stayed in swaying houses before but this one really does. :)

Great property! It’s like you have your own private beach. The company that manages the property could be a lot better. The woman that takes calls is extremely rude and needs to learn how to talk to people. The listing on VRBO is somewhat deceiving it doesn’t state a two animal limit. It just asks if you are traveling with pets.

Fun family vacation!

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Blue Footed Booby! The house was clean and well equipped. They had everything we needed and the listing let us know we needed to bring beach stuff (towels, chairs and toys. Although there were a lot of beach toys left from other visitors). They were on fire when it came to replying to our messages! Super fast! The tv remote control was MIA and within 20 minutes a new one was delivered! Thank y’all so much!

AWESOME!!

There are 17 people in our immediate family…7 adults and 10 kids, ages 15 through 3. We all had an amazing time. The house was "as advertised." It was beautiful inside and out. There were plenty of beds and everything had been thought out by our hosts. I cannot think of a single weakness. I was skeptical that the house could not look as good as the pictures, but I was totally wrong. If you are considering this house for your beach Vaca, do it!!! We are working on our dates for next year…we definitely would love to repeat!

Great house and amazing rental company

The house was great, but what made this experience incredible was the staff at Bolivar Vacations. When we arrived, the dishwasher was not working. By the next morning, when they found out that the technician couldn't arrive in a timely manner, they replaced the entire dishwasher just so we didn't have to do dishes. That's what I call incredible customer service. We had a few other mishaps during our stay, and everything was handled immediately and with the utmost courtesy and good attitude. I talked to Sherry, Velinda, and George, and they are all incredible hosts. You can't go wrong renting from Bolivar Vacations. I have never stayed with a company that cares so much about its guests! This is the second time we stayed in a Bolivar Vacations home. This time, we needed a bigger house, so we chose the Blue Footed Booby. The house was clean, well maintained, and relatively well stocked. Definitely bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, dish and laundry pods, foil, and zip lock bags. Bring plenty of beach equipment and sand toys (this house has none). The bedrooms are spacious and well equipped; I just wish we had three king size beds. We went with a total of three couples, six kids. The kids all slept upstairs, but the grownups had to do "rock, paper, scissors" to see who got the queen room. I'm not sure why they decided to put a bunk bed in the same room as a queen, but that's the only thing I would have changed about our stay. You're right on the beach, and the place is very quiet. If you want the beach to yourself, definitely go during the week. We went in June 2022 and the beach was pretty deserted Mon-Thurs but started getting busier on Friday. Even the maintenance guys (Billy and David) and the cleaning lady (Lauren) were incredibly friendly, nice, and courteous! You can tell the owners treat everyone with respect because it shows in everything they do! I highly recommend Bolivar Vacations, and I can't wait to come back! Thanks for taking such good care of us!

Love it!

This was our 2nd time staying at the Blue Footed Booby. The last 2 years we have had a large group traveling with us, 16 people this year, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We enjoy this location so much, we would book it even it were just the 5 of us. The only issue we have had is the door code wouldn't work, we called Bolivar Vacations and they had it resolved within minutes. Very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them and this house to anyone.

We spend several days each summer on the peninsula and have stayed at several different rentals. The Blue Footed Booby is by far our favorite. It is close enough to restaurants and the big store to be convenient yet far enough away from the crowds that you can actually enjoy yourself. We traveled with a large group this summer and enjoyed this house and location so much so that we have decided it will be our go to location even when it's only the 5 of us. I 10 out of 10 would recommend The Blue Footed Booby to anyone.

Beautiful, clean and well stocked house right on the beach. It was a cold weekend but the house was cozy and it was so quite and peaceful. We enjoyed gathering shells on the beach with the kiddos, letting the dogs run around and watching all the different birds fly by. What a stunning view! Would rent again.
