"We brought our 11 month old on his first beach trip and the house had everything we needed. The beach is extremely close to the property. You have the option to drive or walk. We did the 1 minute short drive. We came on this trip after heavy rainfall and there was no high water, but lots of mosquitoes on the island as a whole, so bring bug spray. It really helps. I’d recommend this property to families of 3-4 or 2 couples! It was great for our family of 3."

"We stayed April 21-26. We enjoyed birding in High Island and on Bolivar Flats. Each morning we walked over to Roll Over pass to view shorebirds. The views from the deck were lovely, relaxing and there was a nice breeze. We didn’t experience mosquitoes while dining outside. The house was nicely furnished and had ample cookware for meals cooked in house. We would stay here again during migratory season due to the proximity to multiple hot spots and the privacy, cleanliness of the property."

"Our big group enjoyed the 3 night stay at Sol Shine. The king beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the trip to the beach was short and easy. The bunk room was fabulous for the kids along with its private bathroom. We had a minor issue with door lock and maintenance was there within 20 minutes of our call. Highly recommend!"
