"It was a fun experience to stay in such a unique spot. My teen and I enjoyed the kayaks at sunset. And waking up to that view was lovely. Our hosts had a lot of nice touches with the coffee station, snacks and nice bath products. (And while the location is a little unusual, road traffic wasn’t really too bad with the air conditioning on.) it was really cool to stay right on the water in a former fishing cabin, while still being easily able to explore Swansboro, Cedar Point and Emerald Isle. "

"We take a family trip to the beach every year, but as our family grows, it gets harder and harder to find a place we can afford. This home was perfect! The grown / single kids stayed in the fourth bedroom outside of the house. My husband, myself, our 8 year old, and our oldest with her two children (9 months and 2 years) stayed in the house. "Carmen was a great host; excellent communication and easy to reach. She made every effort to make the space feel like home. Bathrooms & kitchen were well stocked and the space overall was quite cozy. I would definitely recommend her home to those traveling to the area!"

"The house was beautifully furnished, spacious, well kept, and very clean. The kitchen was stocked beyond our expectations! We had the impression there was a pool on the property; however there wasn't, only a community pool. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this house to any family looking for a great spot near Emerald Isles. "

"Just love the sweet village of Swansboro, the Sunday evening concert was a great ending to nice stay, the State Rooms have best seats for Bandstand!On another note, the hair dryer does not work. I was disappointed that no TV OTHER THAN STREAMING WAS AVAILABLE. I did not bring passwords etc. Basic TV is minimal in my opinion. A special alert of this prior to departing for trip would have made me bring passwords."
