Saltbush Cottage is right in the heart of vibrant South Terrace in popular South Fremantle.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is a great place to relax with South Beach just a short walk away.

Situated on the site of the “Old Canteen” for the Arnotts Mills & Ware biscuit factory, we are now surrounded by vibrant artisan bakeries, cafes, restaurants, galleries, pubs and boutique bars.

Amenities were excellent. Cottage had everything we needed. Very clean and tidy. Close to bakery, cafes and other eateries. The environment of the cottage was very relaxing.

Lovely cottage in the old biscuit factory

Clean & comfortable, beautiful old shady tree in the courtyard, excellent location on South Terrace with cafes , restaurants & pubs close by. Interesting books .

Fantastic character cottage

Amazing kitchen fully equipped with everything you could need, loved the outside bathroom, location, ample parking. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Amazing place to stay

The cottage was clean, spacious, filled with everything one might possibly need, and also very charming and beautifully decorated.The host messaged me right after I placed the booking and we kept communicating by phone without seeing each other. The location is absolutely perfect: it’s surrounded by cafes, bakeries and restaurants, a short walk from the beach and from a grocery store, less than 10 minutes bus ride to the centre of Fremantle.Me and my parents loved the place, it just couldn’t have been better.

A real gem

Loved my stay here, perfect location for beach and restaurants in South Fremantle. Lots of space outside front and back and the outside bathroom was a bonus. Kitchen well equipped although so many nice places to eat in area that it wasn't used much. One of the bedrooms quite a bit bigger than the other but this was clear in online info. Be careful of check-in info though as we were initially told 2pm and when final instructions came through for the key safe it had changed to 3pm. The only other small issue we had was that the TV didn't work and when I tried to speak to the property manager I got the feeling she just thought I wasn't doing it right and just kept saying to follow the instructions in manual provided. In the end she did contact the actual owner though who came round the next day and was lovely. It took her a good 45 mins to reset everything but at least it wasn't anything I wasn't doing right. Overall a real gem of a property and would definitely return. Worth noting that the free bus from South Fremantle to Fremantle has been stopped which is a shame but there are still regular buses running.

New updated kitchen with lots of appliances and bathroom. Plenty of room and storage. Internet average. Great location on cafe strip. Free Cat bus 2 doors down. Nice courtyard out the back and front verandah to relax on. Would have been nice to have a laundry basket , clothes airer for rainy weather and a few more pegs. Overall a very enjoying stay.

Oasis with convenience

Absolutely loved my stay at Saltbush Cottage. I’m was not ready to leave! The Cottage is a unique & homely oasis in the heart of the eccentric South Fremantle. Check in & out very easy, communication with owner was timely & accurate. I loved all the features of this home, it was hard to go out because of the serenity I felt there (in the back courtyard). The location is perfect for what I hoped for (beachside stay close to all the shops and restaurants) to soak up the South Freo locals lifestyle. I hope to be back!
