"Had a wonderful time staying at the cozy shoehouse as we took a couple days to reunite with family after moving out of state. Spent 23 years in York visiting the shoe from time to time. It was very nostalgic inside and outside of the shoe. Unlike practically all shoes, this one did not stink."

"The farm apartment was the perfect place to stay with our kids. Plenty of space for them to run around, swings, and animals in view. Centrally located for tourist activities, you could hear buggys driving past with the windows open. We had a blast meeting the cows and donkeys. The kitchen has everything you need. Beautiful gardens. "

"We found the house very easily with the directions. As we got to the driveway, we were VERY DELIGHTED with the log cabin! The online outside picture does not do justice. The setting is , serene, and beautiful. The inside was very clean; we were able to adjust the thermostat to our comfort. Our only reason to give four stars instead of five was due to the musty closed-up smell in the air. Maybe dehumidifier or remove carpets. That is our only suggestion. We plan to return for family functions...

"David and his family were the perfectHosts. The home was clean and very spacious for our group. The boys enjoyed the back yard and sitting on the porch counting horses. Host was very responsive to questions. Our family was fortunate enough to visit their farm. Spent about an hour getting to know them. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet the wife/Mother but their children were amazing and friendly. Hopefully next time! The boys left feeling like they had a new friend. We will definitely check...

"My friend and I meet in the middle in Lancaster every Memorial Day and this was the favorite place we stayed! Our kids (3, 7, and 10) loved playing on the little beach and floating on the rafts (it was still too early season for swimming). They also enjoyed watching the neighbors/hosts go about their chores and chatting with the chickens. And the adults loved that all the property perks kept the kids entertained all day!The place was clean, the beds were comfortable and it had everything we...

"We stayed for 3 weeks and were sad to leave our cottage in the woods. (We are city people who love waking up to birdsong.) - Such a spacious and cozy house, well equipped, tastefully furnished. It doesn‘t take long to settle in and feel at home. And: Thanks again to Laura for everything!!"

"The loft had everything that we needed to make our getaway weekend relaxing and stress free. It’s close to many of the local attractions. (Including, on the suggestion of our hosts, the wonderful Kauffman’s Orchards. Try the cider donuts!). This was our second stay on property; we stayed in the cottage next door last year.
