  • Ideal home base as gateway to all island attractions. Only 3 min drive or 10 min walk to Township which hosts shops, cafes, hotel, restaurants, Penguin Centre and Penneshaw Beach. Modern home, comfortably furnished with two Queen bedrooms and one with twin singles. If guests require 2 bedrooms then they must book for 4 people, for 3 bedrooms then book for 6 people. Whatever bedroom configuration required, you have access to rest of home facilities - except one bedroom booked has use of one bathroom only. Home has a fully appointed kitchen with BBQ area on rear deck. NBN internet available with 60" Smart T.V. & DVD player in Lounge and two further Smart T.V.s in both Queen bedrooms. There is a main bathroom plus ensuite to main bedroom and laundry facilities. Brick paved carparking for four cars or cars & boats with additional parking if needed at rear of property. Consider car hire on the island instead of bringing your car across on the ferry.

Freycinet

Well situated in Penneshaw SA with great layout for couples with separate facilities. Everything you need is supplied. Very clean with very comfortable beds. Hosts were terrific, gave us some great tips for what to do and see.

No view. House OK but a lot of stuff on verandah, ie crates of empty bottles , tools and a bag of something. Definitely couldn’t have a toddler there

Lovely place close to IGA, skate park, pub, etc.

It must be the last place to have a bath in it. Comfy lounge room with smart tv as well as TVs in the other rooms. Beds lovely and soft.

Great location, very close to the Penneshaw ferry, IGA, and local eating places. The house was comfortable and suited our stay well.A few improvements would make it even better. The house could benefit from more thorough internal cleaning, as we noticed spider webs and did some cleaning ourselves. Installing fly screens on the front and rear doors would greatly improve ventilation and allow guests to enjoy the fresh breeze.There is also quite a lot of extra furniture, which makes the house feel a bit congested. Some delicate decorative items are nice, but they can be a concern for families with young children due to the risk of accidental damage.Overall, a good place to stay with an excellent and convenient location.

Could be so much better.

Photos are way out of date and do not reflect the current poor condition of the property. Externally, both front and rear are in desperate need of a cleanup. Internally, maintenance is also needed in a host of areas, from leaky taps, to broken blinds, dodgy sliding door locks, a ceiling water leak and unsatisfactory cleaning standard. I can provide photos. We all agree that this property is being misrepresented on-line in your ads.

Walking distance to township.

Great spot!

Comfortable house, everything we needed, quiet location. The hosts were very helpful when our travel had to be changed when the ferries were stopped by gale force winds. They made practical suggestions to help find alternatives suggesting contacting KIC. I’m looking forward to staying again.

Clean, comfortable and great facilities

Really comfortable property in a nice quiet location. The place was clean and well appointed. Penneshaw is a convenient place to stay with it's proximity to the ferry and this is nice accommodation to use as a home base for looking around KI.

Great place to stay in Penneshaw

Convenient location a few minutes from the centre of town, the sculpture walk, coffee shops and ferry wharf. Cosy and comfortable house. Well equipped kitchen. Parking for 3 cars. Perfect for a 4 day stay with friends sightseeing.

Great base to explore beautiful Kangaroo Island

Colin was very helpful at every stage of the process. The house was perfect for two couples and two children. We loved the views, the fairy wrens and the back deck. Rain on the roof was a real bonus.
