"The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. This is a great hotel if you want close access to the university. It has a nice river view and the pantry with fair-priced snacks and laundry are nice amenities if you have children or are staying for several nights."

"After staying in a “unique” or “historic” hotel in Toronto and it not being so nice, I was really hesitant and worried about my stay in Rochester at the lofts. The outside looked worrisome and the houses surrounding the school are not in great shape. But once inside, the room was absolutely incredible. So spacious and a full apartment perfect for a long term stay. Clean, organized, perfect for a stay. Would have been willing to stay longer just not on the itinerary"

"Room itself could have been cleaner, however age of unit carpeting/tile itself may make it difficult for the staff to clean effectively. If all rooms are in this condition, they definitely need redoing. Breakfast was good, including coffee, and all staff very helpful. Hotel needs a new public computer - it's old and all sorts of issues occurred trying to get access, plus no chair at the computer. "While we had a good experience with staff the hotel room itself was very dated. There was a small hand towel shoved into a vent above the bed area, dust build up on the AC unit (that wouldn’t come clean after I tried to wipe it down myself), TV didn’t work properly and the pillows were lumpy. Noticed one of the beds also wasn’t a full queen as it didn’t line up with the headboard. I’m not generally one to complain but while we still spent a decent amount of money to stay here for 1 night,...

"They don't have an elevator. The room was cleaned however it was not restocked with amenities. The front desk is maintained by signs not people."

"The room was freezing! No one wants to walk into a room that is 61 degrees. There is absolutely no reason to have the A/C that low. No extra blankets. No hot water - they did change our room only to find out the whole building was without hot water. Then there was the smoke detector with the absolutely piercing flashing light all night. No complaints about the staff and the breakfast was actually better than average, but that doesn’t make up for the horrible sleep before an early morning flight....
