"This hotel desperately needs renovations. If I didn’t know better, I would think Marriott purchased this very recently and instead of renovating it they painted all the walls in the hallway no new carpet and they did do the bathroom. That was the one thing that I have no complaints about is right across from the train station so it’s not any type of sight and you don’t feel the most comfortable sitting outside"

"You can't beat the location if you are going to an event at the Spectrum Center. Breakfast was great and had good variety. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 2 Queen Suite with three people. There was plenty of room. You could reasonably fit six people in there with the pull out. Room was clean and A/C worked great."

"The staff that checked us in, the breakfast attendant and check out staff were all wonderful. The room was not clean. My mom found trash under the bed, there was a roach in the bathroom and hair was on the floor and in the shower. You can tell that the room was not thoroughly cleaned. It had a slight odor, but it wasn’t unbearable. I think they compensated us for the dissatisfaction. The breakfast was great as well!"

"My wife and I stay overnight in Charlotte about 3 or 4 times a year and typically mix up where we stay, but the Dunhill is always our favorite. Great staff, beautiful and well-maintained property, clean room, excellent location, and easy-peasy parking (right next to the hotel!). Also, it's one of the quietest locations in uptown."
