"Starved Rock Retreat was the perfect spot for our low-key, relaxing bachelorette weekend. From the minute we booked our stay, the hosts were very helpful and responsive to any and all questions we had, even going so far as to provide recommendations on things to do in the area so we could plan our activities ahead of time.The house was absolutely amazing and had everything we needed and then some. "This house was very nice. The pool area was the biggest hit for the family. Love the size of pool, the easy in and easy out in the shallow end. There are plenty pool toys and towels supplied. Hot tub was very relaxing. Kitchen and bathrooms have plenty of supplies. "

"It was great to have a little home base while we explore and hike the surrounding area. We also had it pretty nice and cool. Be warn, it doesn’t stay super cool all day as it was hot. It was around the 90s and the ac barely kept the place at 78 during the day. But you’re supposed to be out anyways. Pleasant stay."

"Cozy villa that gave my family a wonderful time together—making great memories before school started, relaxing with good books, and enjoying the water park."

"The home is beautiful, with expert attention to detail. The bed linens seemed chosen specifically for each room. The views were especially delightful, day and night. We were lucky to have a 3/4 moon over the Fox River, a fire in the fire pit, and morning coffee on the deck. I would recommend this home for any event. Spacious, comfortable, and near fun things to do, such as kayaking on the Fox River."
