"We rented out both houses for our big family. It was a combination of siblings, grandkids, and grandparents. Everyone had a bed. The houses were super clean. We had so much fun. The houses are both set up like a hotel. You just need to bring food, drinks And beach towels. "

"I needed time off to decompress, and The Wren House offered the perfect antidote. My partner and I canoed. We chatted with the chipmunks. We scoured our bird book for the names of the variety of bird species who visited. We played games, napped and enjoyed cocktails. We even got to enjoy a great rainstorm (from inside, of course).It was perfect."

"Beautiful lakehouse! Our stay was wonderful. Everything was very clean, comfortable and felt at home. The deck was so nice, grill was great and outdoor furniture was comfy! Hosts were excellent with communication and accomadating. Would recommend this place for a relaxing vacation! "

"We stayed here for an out of town wedding for my son. We could have used another day to relax in the hot tub and enjoy the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. Really nice home to relax for a few days. "

"Anne Marie was great and got us a new AC unit when the current one had problems. The unit is close to the lake and there is a boat slip reserved for the unit if you need one. The bungalow is great for two people, but you could have 3 comfortably as there is a trundle. Groceries are close by and try the Sand Bar for a great time. There are also other restaurants close by and a pavilion you can rent for larger groups. All in all great unit for our stay. Would stay again. "

"Very satisfied with the accomodations. I am an accomplished bass fisherman. The fishing was disappointing (all catch & release). Of the twenty or so bass I caught, all but one was WELL under 1 lb. Bass pictures seem to be from a while ago. It is as if the DNR stocked the lake with bass fry last spring and now all are around 6" in length. This is not a reflection on your place, but a comment from someone who probably spent 30 hours fishing. We would definitely re-book if there was a decent...

"I enjoyed seeing all the well kept houses on the lake, and we visited the Kalamazoo institute of art, very interesting place!"

"The area and lake was very peaceful, morning coffee on the deck listening to the birds. Afternoon kayaking and sunbathing on the deck and nights eating dinner on the deck with family or playing games. Kitchen and the living room open with a beautiful view of the lake. Matt has thought of everything you will need including the kayaks which was a great hit with the family. Looking for a quiet but yet close to stores this house is it. Hope to return in the years ahead "

"We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in the chalet. Everything was just as advertised and the home was very clean. There was a lot more space than we expected and it was well stocked with all the necessities, which is not very common with most rentals. The location was excellent. It feels like you’re in a remote area tucked away when you’re in the chalet, but it is a very short drive to anywhere you want to go. We had a toddler with us and all the toys were perfect for him. "We loved the peaceful and serene location of this home and spent many hours on the deck enjoying the channel views. Mattresses are so comfy. Home is very well maintained. John, the owner, went above and beyond in purchasing a new Keurig and making certain that we had everything we needed. He was willing to take us for a lake tour on his pontoon (for a reasonable fee). "This was a nice quiet comfortable cabin with lots of wildlife around. there was not many people on the lake. The bed was comfortable, and plenty of kitchen supplies. we enjoyed using the relaxing out door area. Keep in mind for long stays there is not a washer and dryer on site But there is laundry available pretty close by in plainwell."
