"Property was remote and quiet.The entrance (trees) and the sunset was so beautiful and water was quiet. ~2miles of gravel on entry.We fortunately ran into our host & Kevin was very pleasant. Suggestion-to leave instructions on use of the toilet & shower.(turning the water on and off and using the toilet)We did not use the shower. "The WiFi never worked. We called, did our own rebooting, waited, texted and in the end gave up. There had been some painting done and there were remnants of paint scraping in various locations (by the way the paint job was terrible- host ought to make them go back and re-do it!) "Bugs were terrible. The sink and kitchen counter crawled with tiny bugs. I called the front desk and although I was told they would send an exterminator, no one came. There were 3 dead roaches on the floor when we arrived and we were greeted both mornings with a new one in the middle of the floor. I was worried we would transport them home so I had to be especially vigilant in guarding against the critters taking home in our luggage and bags."

"I have done vacation rentals in Pawleys Plantation many times and the location is wonderful. It is a beautiful gated community. This was the first time that I had to drive to pick up keys to a rental unit. It was 7 miles one way north of Pawleys plantation which was a 14 mile trip added to our already 6 hr. drive which was an inconvenience.
