"Me and my partner loved our stay. Even with the rain and cold weather the cabin was warm and comfortable for us. We loved how private the cabin was to just be in nature. "

"This property is top notch. By far the nicest 'Cabin in the Woods' I've ever seen. Clean and comfortable inside and out. A great covered deck for bird watching and enjoying the peaceful countryside. The kitchen was very well furnished with everything you need for meal prep and entertaining. We will be back someday soon."

Very easy to find with good parking, plenty of space to lounge and entertain, nice electric fireplace for heat and central air to cool, overall it was really nice. Check-in was easy and the town is quiet and safe. The only reason we’re giving it 4/5 stars is because there was a fairly strong smell of wet dog in the rental upon arrival. "The location was perfect for the beautiful state parks to the west and the east. The farmhouse cottage provided everything without obligating us to rent a place much larger than we needed. The stairs to the bedroom are quite steep needing to be managed with care. If we were skiers we wouldn’t hesitate to return! We really appreciated Richie and Shannon’s quick response to our requests. "I am originally from the area and wanted to “go home” for a few days. The cabin was clean and had plenty of dishes, kitchen utensils, towels, linens, etc. for my family’s 5 night stay. I loved drinking my morning coffee on the front porch and watching the birds and deer in the yard. My husband and daughter had a blast fishing the pond, catch and release of course. "The cabin was awesome! We saw a ton of wildlife. We saw a baby beaver, a doe and spotted fawns, albino doe, a goose and her babies, plenty of birds and fish. "

"Two nights stay. Very cute place to stay. It was located next to the event we wanted to participate in. Very private very clean and would definitely stay there again. Also to answer your question yes the shower is outside in a shower tent. But the instant hot water heater makes it a super comfortable experience. We stayed in the fall with 50° weather. It was more than comfortable."

"We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Communication with the owners was so quick and easy, and the cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. The cabin itself was really cool--rustic decor, and extremely clean. The weather wasn't great when we were there so we didn't have a chance to really enjoy the outdoor areas, but the beach, pond and outdoor bar/grill area seem ideal for a nice day. Totally recommend this place for a peaceful and relaxing getaway! "
