I booked two nights at Odalys, Nimes several weeks ago. Because the website explained that check in closes at 8pm, I arranged to arrive at Nimes by train at about 7pm.
However, I arrived at the station at 7.50 pm after a long delay on the train. Whilst I was waiting to get a taxi, I tried to phone the hotel several times, but on each occasion the call was not answered. I booked another hotel, because it was clear I was not going to arrive before 8pm.
The next day, I went to the hotel to arrange a refund. The receptionist colleague kindly explained that the information on Expedia about the hotel is incorrect and that reception is infact open 24/7, in other words I did not need to find another hotel.
I haver asked for a refund because
1) The Expedia website provided incorrect information, even after hotel staff knew this to be incorrect
2) The hotel did not answer the phone in order that the incorrect information could be resolved.
I asked for a refund three days ago, but so far haven’t heard from the hotel.
