Amenities are wonderful, and the location to the convention center and all other things to enjoy and see is perfect.
The responsiveness, service, and hospitality at Le Meriden need much improvement. I had to ask 3 times for room to be cleaned and serviced despite being out of the room all day with the sign placed on door. Called down to front desk for room service for breakfast twice, they transferred me to the restaurant twice without anyone picking up. Called a third time to the front desk and they didn’t even pick up this time. So I called with my cellphone and they picked up immediately, transferred me to the restaurant again and nobody picked up. I ended up having to order from Uber Eats for breakfast. I asked for someone to then bring up my order to my room. They did, sending the bellhop who rudely stated they do not bring food to guests and that this was an exception implying evident annoyance - a totally unnecessary interaction given the frustrating process to communicate with the front desk and restaurant in the first place. I was only then told by the front desk the following morning that the restaurant does not provide breakfast for room service. I was only told this because I asked, nobody that I spoke with during the aforementioned interaction offered this simple explanation throughout the process.
The hospitality and quality of service and relaxation that is advertised for a Marriott hotel experience did not parallel my overall experience with Le Meridien.
