"Lovely hotel, clean, spacious, nice decor & beautiful views. The location was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the dining terrace overlooking the Welsh Hills. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was big as was the bathroom with a bath. It had a big, comfortable bed. The only negative was the TV. It was very small for the room and had a very basic freeview, with most channels having no signal. A bigger TV with Netflix, so we could watch a film or something would make...

"Staff were fantastic, meals were really well presented, good value and fresh. Rooms were quiet, really comfortable and cosy. They smell so fresh, unlike the usual pub bedrooms I have stayed in."

Comfortable room with lots of electricity plug in points for charging phones, computers etc which is a pleasing change. Lovely large shower with powerful rain hail. "This is a wonderful boutique property in a very safe area. There is a cafe on the corner and is only 5 mins from the main shopping in Chester with so many options for dining and relaxing. The staff were very welcoming and this was the best hotel stay I can remember. "

"Highly recommend, unique rooms and brilliant staff, in the heart of Chester! Got upgraded to the Secret Garden and it was great! Stayed before in the Safari room which has its own jacuzzi bathtub which was brilliant! This time opted for another room as it safari was booked, but the upgrade was great! Staff very friendly and brilliant! Cannot complain in the slightest! Can’t wait to go again! "

"Fabulous! Pure peace and relaxation (Sunday & Monday). Lots of good quality attention to detail to make it easy to relax and feel pampered -for example bath cushion and reading board plus candle, mini nail kit, and tooth cleaning set. Things to keep you busy - ie games sets and books. The furniture is good old style/ antique ie real wood and lots of paintings in gold frames ( so more National trust style rather than premier inn). "Good hotel to stay and clean and spacious room. Staff and service is excellent. Onsite free parking and very close to retail parks and Cheshire Oak designer outlet. I would recommend hotel considering some destination chargers for EV. There are some within a short driving distance plus Chester services (10 mins drive) have a lot of fast chargers as well. "
