"Quite far to get to from Stonetown but a stunning location. It’s boutique hotel so not the facilities of a mega resort but the local friendly staff arranged a couple of excellent things for me and I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Great food too with sea views. I also enjoyed a massaged in a small hut by the sea so could hear the surf. "

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area.
I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely.
At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

"Amazing hotel and staff! My every need was met and there was always a staff member close by who was willing to help. We arrived early and our rooms were not ready, they took our bags from us and allowed us to get ready in the change rooms. We went to our excursion and came back to find our luggage in our rooms! They even offered late check out for us!
Ahmed is the best bartender ever! Made the best drinks and always had a smile on his face! Too many amazing staff to call out. I will miss Lux...

"Very stylishly designed hotel. Beautiful decor & tropical gardens leading to a picture perfect white sandy beach. Gorgeous large comfortable rooms. The perfect place to chill after our safari’s & stay in Stone Town.
Thank you to the chef for fantastic food, especially the curries.
All the staff were so lovely and the service was great.
We also enjoyed the low tide sea safari with one of the staff.
We highly recommend this as a beautiful chilled place to stay.

"El hotel está muy bien y bien ubicado en Matenwe, un pueblecito que no está tan saturado de hoteles y turistas por lo que guarda mayor encanto. Se trata de un pueblecito pesquero.
Las instalaciones y la habitación estaban muy bien, recomendable pagar algo más por una habitación en el segundo piso o en el tercer piso porque los que están en la zona baja tienen poca intimidad (al igual que los dos bungalows).
Lo único que no nos gustó es el desayuno ya que no es buffet. Tienen un menú cerrado...

"J'ai passé un séjour exceptionnel à The Villa of Zanzibar ! Cette villa offre un cadre calme et apaisant, tout en étant à 10 minutes en voiture de Nungwi, un village animé.
Pour mon séjour, j'ai loué la Sea View 2. La vue donne directement sur la piscine et plus loin l'océan, un vrai bonheur lors du réveil !
La chambre était nettoyée tous les jours et de nouvelles décorations avec des fleurs étaient chaque fois créés sur le lit. Une attention qui m'a beaucoup plu.
Le personnel était souriant...

"Wir haben ein Seaview Suite mit Pool gehabt, das Zimmer, Bad und der Pool waren sehr sauber, es lohnt sich der Aufpreis um einen eigenen Pool zu haben.
Das Essen war sehr gut, der King Praws Salat hervorragend. Einziger negativ Punkt waren die Säfte, woanders war es viel besser. Der Mango Saft hat aus der Packung geschmeckt und nicht frisch gemacht.
Der Strand hat extrem viele Algen, nicht angenehm, daher haben wir die Zeit in unserem eigenen Pool genutzt.
