We checked in, made our way to our room, first walking by the questionable residents and a couple smoking weed outside their room. We felt incredibly unsafe as two young females. "The bathroom toilet ran all night long were it interrupted the sleep, the carpet was torn and there were roaches in the bathroom and a dirty face cloth underneath the sink that was dirty. I will never stay there again"

It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. "This is a truly lovely property. The grounds are exquisite and include a 75' lap pool and lovely patio and area for artist retreats. Nice robes, comfy linens, a fabulous shower. Fireplace that throws a good amount of heat and easy to use air conditioning. Good instruction book. Some small details were overlooked--a nice coffee nook to make tea or coffee but no water available to use or drink."

"Overall, the room was clean, but there was no hand soap at the sink at all, only in the shower. The breakfast buffet was not well attended to. When the pancake machine stopped working, it was because it needed more batter. The bowl of bananas was empty at times."
