"Had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Mountain Retreat! Not a stretch to say one of the best stocked rental homes ever I've ever booked. We stayed two nights with three families including kids ranging from 2-12 years old. Everything you could ask for was available for cooking in the kitchen with more than enough glasses and tableware in excellent condition. "My elderly parents and I were elated throughout our stay in this lovely cabin with vintage flair. It is within walking distance to Cuyamaca Lake and within a short drive to Julian. The cabin is very clean, and it has all the kitchen essentials, laundromat combo, TV, WiFi, etc. We have stayed here before, and we were glad to come back for the peace and tranquility we enjoy in these paradise-like surroundings. Thank you to our hosts that make this possible!"

"We loved our little getaway to this special Cabin in Julian Ca. Everything was clean, cared for and very on point with the 50s cabin theme. John was attentive, helpful and easy to reach. He let us adjust the reservation last min and we loved reading about his personal family history and reason for buying the cabin. It was secluded, private but very close to everything in town. Just what we were looking for, we will definitely be back! "

"Super cute little one bedroom cottage with great onsite owners! The place is decorated beautifully. Full kitchen and a large screen TV in the living area (no TV in the bedroom). We had a little trouble with the television. I guess you have to log into your own streaming accounts?Large 4-post bed with a comfy softer mattress that may need to be rotated around, as the side dips lower than the middle. Owners are very friendly, but not intrusive at all. Tim even washed my very dirty windshield for...

"Amazing property, feels like being home. Nothing is missing from the house. From entertainment, spaces, comforts, and even every single tool for cooking. I was really impressed by the quality of anything inside and outside the property. Owners are also very responsive and extremely accommodating. We'll come back :)"

"This home was absolutely the perfect family vacation place. My son got married on Sacred Mountain and this was the perfect place to gather. We loved this home!"

"I booked this for my husband bc his friends were camping at the campground down the street and he didn’t want to camp as it was cold outside. He loved it so much, he didn’t want to leave. It was the perfect little house complete with a coffee maker, microwave, updated bathroom/shower, large comfy bed and the cutest patio. He keeps talking about it, so we will rebook soon."

"The beds were comfortable. We loved the coziness and warmth of the fireplace. The stained glass windows are so pretty and the views are gorgeous. The cleaning crew could do a better job. There was a pull-out cutting board that hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival and water was pooled at the bottom of the fridge with pieces of food floating in it. We stayed for one week and there was only 1 roll of paper towels provided, 1 additional roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extra trash...

"Sweet cottage, perfect for our family of 4.Clean, nicely decorated, plenty of towels/blankets. Appliances look new. Didn’t do any cooking on this trip but kitchen looked well stocked with anything we would need. Cara was easy to communicate with. Check in was very easy. Good location near downtown."
