"The Quiet Cottage, also known as Stolhammer Hus, is the perfect base to explore the Mesabi Bike Trail and the Range. The house is very clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. Great screened in porch, as well as a deck that has you sitting in the woods. The host is great, very accessible and helpful with local recommendations. I would highly recommend the Quiet Cottage in the Woods!"

"Very quaint, cozy place. Had everything we needed to unplug and unwind. There wasn't a swimming beach for us, but the dog had a marvelous time splashing around. The hot tub was an added bonus & felt wonderful! "

"The property was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin included everything needed for a short ‘off the grid’ weekend with our children, but still close enough to entertainment opportunities to take day trips. "

There were improvements being made to the exterior of the building even while we were there. We appreciated the water and soda in the refrigerator and enjoyed the Keurig coffeemaker. "Beautiful lakefront home. Especially enjoyed time on the lake with a variety of small watercraft toys (kayaks, paddle board and canoe). Small hiccup with not having the correct code to the door at checkin; resolved with a couple phone calls.Kindly refunded pet cleaning fee on day of check in when we didn’t bring our dog.Easy to communicate with throughout the week when various questions came up. Enjoyed our stay overall."

"Went on guys' golf trip. 4 of us. This place was great. The location is right between 2 golf courses. Beautiful villa. Great to have complimentary pancakes, coffee, etc... Can't say enough good things about Walden Haus."

"Absolutely wonderful. Loved the small town and friendly residents. Great location for us riding the Mesabi bike trail plenty of room at the house nice having a washer and dryer too "

"Unbelievable property, had a great time and our family was cozy and comfortable the whole week. This location is a fisherman's paradise with the added bonus of having a great home to come back to each day to relax, cook, and stay in comfort. We will be coming back to this spot. "
