"I had read ahead of time that the walls were very thin.... and they are!! But everyone tries to be quiet and most things settle down by 10. Parking is VERY tight, but it worked out okay. Room itself was fantastic. "

"Funky little place, but clean and spacious. Nice big tv, and a WONDERFUL King sized bed. We were exhausted on arrival, slept like babies for 11 hours. As cheap as you're going to find around here, and each room is a separate little cottage, so it was Very Quiet."

"The pictures don't do the house justice. This place felt more like a home than most rentals. Home is well equipped, comfortable, labels everywhere so you know how things work, and the security at the entrance was amazing! Lisa is a fantastic and I hope to stay here again!"

"We enjoyed how most camping spots offered a good amount of privacy. I would recommend arriving in daylight. We arrived just after sunset and it was difficult to navigate in the dark having never been there before. It was a shame we couldn't have a fire, but the hike on the property was lovely. "

"We loved Barb’s place so much. Very clean and cozy. Perfect for my husband and I to visit Carmel and surrounding areas. Comfy bed and nice amenities. All of Barb’s restaurant recommendations were spot on. Favorite being Dametra Cafe and least being Misson Ranch. Cooler weather than I expected in June, and always windy so needed jackets daily. Fog doesn’t burn off till noon sometimes so plan sight seeing accordingly. Gorgeous sunsets from beach. Love the charm and lovely feeling you get from...

"Had a great stay here. The checkin process was a little different. Was suppose to get the code for the front door sent to me via email but had to wait outside while I contacted the host for the code, but they responded pretty quick so it wasn't too much of a hassel. Property was very nice. Great views and close enough to the places we wanted to go to. Room was nice, clean, and bed was pretty comfortable. Overall had a great stay."

"We loved staying here with our children. The house was clean and beds comfortable. We were able to cook with ease. Sit in the hot tub and walk to the beach. "

"We were down with family for the Big Sur Marathon. The home fit 6 of us very comfortably (4 adults and 2 kids) and would have been fine with the 2 more adults that were expected to come but could not make it. The kids loved running around in the backyard and we enjoyed an evening around the fire pit. The location is great with the ocean just a few steps away and getting into Monterrey in just a few minutes. Will definitely look to see if this house is available again on our next visit!"

The entire property was absolutely spotless and it in great shape!We really appreciated the property manager meeting us and showing us around which helped us get settled in quickly. Would absolutely recommend this property as a jumping off point for Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur!Great property and great hosts!"
