Shack by the Sea Middleton

3 bedroom beach shack with open plan kitchen, dining and loungeroom. Renovated throughout including kitchen and bathroom. Decking along front and back of property and landscaped to fit within the surrounding nature reserve. On the bike path between Goolwa and Victor Harbor. Great bakeries, restaurants and hotels 5minute drive.

The shack is fully equipped for families with games, books, toys, and boggie boards. The area out the back is grassed for children to play on and there is a picnic table at the back of the property to enjoy spectacular sunsets.

Please note tea towels, quilts/blankets and pillowcases are supplied. You will need to supply your own bedsheets and towels. If this is a concern please contact us to discuss.

Please note during peak period Dec/Jan full payment is required 5 weeks prior to commence of booking date. Cancellation 4 weeks prior to booking will incur 50% of total booking fee. Cancellation 3 weeks or less prior to commence of booking will incur full payment.

THE SHACK IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR RENT TO SCHOOLIES - due to previous damage occurring by schoolies.

Locality
Middleton is a town in South Australia on the eastern end of the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula. It is situated between the towns of Port Elliot and Goolwa. A holiday and tourist destination with a popular surf beach. Some Southern Right

Whales calve and mate in the waters off Middleton's beaches and can be viewed from Middleton Point or Bashams Beach during the whale watching season (June or July to October).

Shack located at the Goolwa end of Middleton - along the bike path

Beach access - can see path from the front deck, tuck your board under your arm and head for the beach - takes a whole 2 minutes.
No through road, close to Encounter Bike path that runs from Goolwa to Victor Harbour, nature reserve behind and sea out front.
Unspoilt views from back deck of nature reserve
Long unspoilt beach suitable for swimming, boarding & surfing.

Relaxing stay by the beach

Great relaxing stay by the beach at this beachside shack for a short getaway and the weather was fantastic for it too which meant great afternoons on the back deck in the sun.Close walk to the beach Appreciated the owners consideration of allowing us to stay with our elderly trained dog that didn’t quite meet the listed requirements Will definitely stay here again as the shack had everything one needs as does the Main Street and also close driving distance to Victor Harbour and Goolwa.

Family beach shack

To be honest, we were quite disappointed when we arrived. We were expecting something more comfortable. There is no proper indoor lounge area where you can spread out and relax. The queen size beds are too big for the rooms they are in. It felt pokey and cluttered with family books, magazines and games. That said, it was very clean. The hot water was excellent, the bed we used was comfortable, and all the basic amenities worked well. The washing machine was easy to use. The position is great, being so close to the beach.

We will be back…

Well equipped small home with lovely backyard spaces with back deck which has good outdoor furniture.Close to the beach and good value for this area. Excellent communication/information from owner.Rooms are small so we used third bedroom for our luggage. We would happily stay again.

Property was clean, nice touch with Xmas tree, no WiFi unfortunately. It would have been nice to know about having to hire sheets and towels otherwise it suited our needs for the visit.

Girls weekend away

First impresseion was the house was very cute! We found we had everything available to make meals, relax and unwind. The backyard was set up beautifully and attracted a great variety of birdlife which was a pleasant surprise

Nice quite location

We were attending a two-day bike race (Tour of Goolwa) and wanted a quite location to enjoy some rest and a good sleep between the days. This property suited our needs beautifully. Had everything we needed. Thank you to our hosts for the weekend.

Great beach lovers shack.

Cosy shack by the sea, great location. Very well stocked with games, cards tennis rackets etc. Shack backs onto a natural reserve, very peaceful.

Staying in Middleton

This is a very nice house just at the right place close to the beach. It is in a quite neighborhood. The house is well equipped with all what we needed, nothing fancy but exactly what we needed. In particular we were very positive surprised about all the facilities in the kitchen including a drinking water filtration system. the communication with the owner was easy and they responded very quickly to inquiries. We would come there any time again.

Middleton shack - quaint place, close walk to the beach, with a well equipped kitchen.
