We arrived late at night and, due to how exhausted we were from traveling, we didn’t have the energy to raise concerns upon check-in. Our room was located in a separate building adjacent to the main lobby. Upon entering, we immediately noticed a strong smell of mold and a generally damp, musty atmosphere. It was evident that there were issues with humidity and poor air quality.
As someone sensitive to mold, I felt uncomfortable and concerned about spending time in the room. Breathing the air inside was difficult, and I imagine it would be even more problematic for anyone with allergies or respiratory issues. Since we were only staying for a few nights and planned to use the room solely for sleeping, we decided to stay. However, each night was a challenge due to the poor air quality.
Unfortunately, after the trip, I became ill and noticed that all of my belongings had absorbed the musty, damp smell, similar to that of a wet cabin. This raises serious concerns about the maintenance of the property and whether it meets acceptable health and safety standards.
On a positive note, the hotel staff were consistently kind and helpful throughout our stay. Their service was the highlight of an otherwise disappointing experience.
