This place was absolutely disgusting and nothing like the photos. The room we were given looked nothing like what we paid for. We tried to contact the host right away to ask about it, and he wasn’t responding to my texts or calls (to both numbers he gave)
Then, while my friend and I were getting ready, a maintenance man walked right into the room. No notice. No knock. Just walked in like it was normal. We were shocked and uncomfortable. I messaged the host about this too, and — surprise — he ignored that as well.
The one and only good thing about this place is the location — it’s near Ocean Drive. Because of the lack of communication from the host, we left for a few hours to enjoy the area and cool off. When we came back, we were horrified to find bugs crawling on the bed.My friend went to wash her hands and saw dead bugs in the sink. We looked up and realized the light fixture was filled with tiny bugs & their wings. Gross.
I called the host multiple times—no answer. I texted him, and his only response was, “Pest control will be on their way.” That’s it. No apology.no sense of urgency, nothing.
We contacted Expedia because there was no way we were staying there. The booking was originally non-refundable, but because the host still wouldn’t respond to them either, we were issued a refund. So thank you to Expedia and Nadhell for handling it properly, because the host certainly didnt.
Yes, it’s close to Ocean Drive. But that doesn’t matter when you’re sleeping with bugs. bleh
